I have a 6.5hp craftsman shop vac with a Standard DD. I feel it is to small as I lost some suction with it installed. But Ill take the trade off for not having clogged filters all the time.
Thanks for the reply. I have cleaned the condenser coils. And I lubed the motor also but I didn't think to look at the fan position. Here is pictures of my A coil. Should I clean it and if so how with out removing it? Ive seen the aerosols but my wife is super sensitive to smells and im worried...
So this is the first year in this house and while the AC is working and keeping the house cool it is only dropping the temp 11 deg and doesn't seem to be pulling moisture out of the air like we are used to in previous houses. So I check things out and throw some gauges on the system and find...
Its all about the volume of the hose.
A .25"x 100' hose will hold 1.19 gallons of water
A .375"x 100' hose will hold 2.29 gallons of water.
So by running a 3/8 hose you are pushing 1.1 more gallons of water. I know it may not seem like much. And your machine may be able to handle it. But...
The issue is that you have more water in the hose itself and it puts more back pressure on the pump. Sure it may be ok now but you are putting a strain on your pump. No way to measure it but it could shorten the life of your pump.
Will not make a difference if the nozzle on the end is the same size. The 1/4" hose is not a restriction. You will just be pulling a heavier hose around that has more water in it. On second thought. It could hurt performance. You will be pushing a larger quantity of water for the same length of...
Durhams Rock hard water putty. Mix up what you need and fill the hole. its soft enough when dry that you can come back and get your artistic groove on and make match. Normally a putty knife and a wire brush gets me the texture I'm looking for.
Just curious. Wouldn't the engine be in the chassis for any work that can be done on this stand? Top-end, clutch, stator, etc. Just saying you cant split the cases while its on the stand. As a tech I'm just trying to picture how or when I would use it. Very cool idea and execution. Just...
I have a 40g one. The extra width was needed so I could wash motorcycle fork tubes and have the end drain into the washer. I would go with the 20g. The biggest problem with a bigger washer is that it takes more fluid. On mine it takes 20g of fluid which is really expensive to fill. My FIL...
I find its better to put a little on a bunch of times rather than try to get it right all in one go. Takes more time to let it dry but its better than sanding tons in my book. The hard way is to put tons on and sand it flat btw.
