Can someone give me the low down on the Walker Jack I just bought

The 93652 has a cast iron hydraulic block on the newer ones. Not as good as the machined steel block version.(i have run into air pockets while machining valve seats). The 4 ton is a good jack, but talk him down so you can pay one of your local jack shops to rebuild and certify it. The no jack...

    Compressor Motor Issues

Ok so to clear things up a bit. First overload protection on the motor does not protect the contacts on the pressure switch from welding themselves together when not 20-25 amps are run through them, but more like 60-100 amps on start up. There just isn't enough metal there to withstand the heat...

    Compressor oil vs engine oil

10w oil is for very frigid conditions, and if you forget to change oil come spring you will be looking for a new compressor. 40wt amsoil is what you want.

Oil in my shop compressor looks like turkey gravy.

In order to pull bearings on a t30 you have to pull jugs and rods. The crank is a 2 piece overhung style crank. Do not seperate two pieces of crank.

    Compressor oil vs engine oil

Amsoil 40 wt synthetic compressor oil. No multi grades period. 30 wt nondetergent is fine if you can't find amsoil.

    Compressor Motor Issues

110 plus 110 does not always equal 220. Make sure you are not pulling from 2 110 legs instead of the 220 bar. If you are on 220 you will have 1 breaker not 2. Safety hazzard to only break one side.

    Compressor restoration

What you ia a old Emglo made in Johnstown, pa.The model is "k". and parts are still available. The company changed names to Jenny a couple years ago. Weak spot is the valves, provided unit was not run w/o oil. Tank can be tested with a water pump to a min. of 300 psi. Water not air!
