Brew - what you described is exactly what I did minus the switch. I have an additional plug at the tow vehicle battery so the lines running to the hitch can be dead for safety, then plugged in to charge the trailer battery or directly run the winch.

How about fab up a sheet metal drip pan that acts as a liner in the cart - put it in the cart first, then the fuel cans? Wouldn't take up any room, but not sure how many pans you need.

Thanks 2ool - I'll ask him to demo. From reading on the web, seems like there's mixed reviews on a 110v unit for sheet metal (automotive). I can easily justify a new tool lol, just don't want to think it'll handle panels if that's at the end of its range. Thanks again

I would strongly recommend having D rings welded to the front and back of the trailer - have a professional welder weld on a triangle piece of 1/4" or greater metal to the corners that ties both the front/side back/side rails together, then weld the D ring to that. They way you have the cars...
