Nobody who does this for a living is ever going to leave work to go rent a 20 dollar tool from autozone to finish a half hour job. The other tech you told about the loan a tool program would probably say the same.
Other than that, thanks for the opinions. Ill probably just get an air hammer...
Im looking to replace the pitman arm on my truck and where its at ive got no chance without a puller. Wondering if a full front end service kit would be worth it to a new tech or if im better off continuing with a hammer and maybe some pickle forks in the future?
Im a tech who does occasional brake jobs now and ill be havine a hell of a lot more in the future. Id like a caliper to be able to check rotor thickness so that in the future I can possible start to machine them or just recommend them with more solid reasoning than "theyre rusted and scored and...
Im just looking to use it for sanding and rust removal. Around 6 or 7 cars per day but I want it to last. Ive seen lots of good reviews about astro so I hope the replacement lasts but the next one I spend money on should be the last.
So ive read through about every thread mentioning right angle die grinders and at best they all suggest every brand in existence for every purpose at every price point with most people not owning what they suggest for more than a year or two. Finally bit the bullet and got an astro 205ql. Thing...
If anyone with these uses these in a shop how long does each disc normally last? Im wondering if id need more than ~10 per month just to estimate how much it would cost.

I was looking at coolant pressure testers with adapters and after a good search I found that the stant 12270 has always been and probably will always be the best pressure tester man will ever know according to everyone who has them. Check. Got it.
Now, the part thats not universally known is...
Yes I do oil all my air tools the first time I use them every day and yes I do hate you guys for suggesting chicago and st louis pneumatic. I thought I had this narrowed down...
Im looking at die grinders and ive pretty much narrowed my search to the IR 5102MAX and the Astro 204 ONYX. Ive looked through about every thread here on the topic and it seems like almost every brand has some very mixed opinions aside from dotco and such which are way out of my price range. I...
