is a 19' deep attached garage norm?

The official measurements (from the brochure, that is) for my garage is 19.5 square, with a single door. Inside, due to blocks, it's less than 19'. My Venture fits with enough room to juuuuuust get the tailgate up. Getting two cars inside is another story...

    Metal (interior) framing

Ok... not in a garage, but what about a basement?

    Metal (interior) framing

This question isn't really for a project in my garage, but we can pretend it is... :) This may even be better suited in a general category, but.... Pros/Cons of using metal framing vs wood. Tip/tricks of using metal? Any websites with good information (I have yet to find one)? Many...

Klein Tools - what's your opinion?

Side question--why is the tool "****" called such?

Tell us your technical skill level

The only tool I have is a hammer, so everything I see is a nail.

    Circular saw

Thanks for the replies. Perhaps a better way to phrase the question is, "What brand would you stay away from"?

    Insulation

Another lame-ish query--why use batts vs roll? A batt only seems better if it is the same length as your cavity/bay... otherwise, you still end up cutting pieces, so might as well go with a roll... ??

    Circular saw

Ok... I open the floor to your picks for a normal circular saw. Normal use (I do plan on building a deck in the spring/summer), so it doesn't have to worry about doing anything crazy... just a nice, solid, normal (no fancy frills) saw is fine. I had considered cordless, but.... for the cost it...

A site I want to share with you tool guys

Dink: Points taken, re: Big Box retailing. I guess a part of my point is that most people think that if HD/Lowes/WM don't sell something, that the product is less-than-wonderful. At least HD/Lowes employ people who are supposed to know what they're talking about... I still would like to find...

    Woodworking sites and books

I'm going to hijack this thread for a second or two for a request--if any of you have built risers for your washer & dryer, can you drop me a PM? (why buy when you can build??). I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

A site I want to share with you tool guys

That's the key to retailing--get it in a big store so everything thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread and you can charge whatever you want. Now, Wal-Mart's control of the manufacturer's wholesale price is another issue...

    Painting a garage w 14' ceilings?

As far as painting goes, don't be foolish like my house builder has been... for whatever reason, after the primer was done(a lousy job), the electricians came in and did all their finish work (hanging lights, smoke detectors, switches/wall plates, outlets and covers). Now, the painters have to...
