My guess is this vise is from the '80s. It looks to me like the grey craftsman vises of that time also. And I believe they had a 5 1/2". I can't find any info on the crafty vise jaws though.

I'm having some trouble finding info on the Ridgid 5000r vise. I need jaws for it and need to know who made it. I believe it's a Columbian D45 M5, NOT an M4, which is a 5 inch near as I can find. I sure would appreciate it if someone on the board could measure the jaws on their D45 M5 for me...

Cool thanks fellas. The slides need attention badly. When I do that I'll pull it out of it's corner and find the date, now that I have a better idea where to look.

I couldn't find a date on this box. I didn't drag it out and look on the back. Does mac put a build date on their boxes? I was thinking this thing is from the 80s. The drawer pulls led me to think that. It's also got friction slides.

Hey thanks for the input! I've had this on the back burner for quite some time because I wasn't really finding anything. Now that the time is closer that I'll be needing them, I need to try and get moving on this little project again. I appreciate the feed back.

My other thought was to have our shops broach a female hole in a regular box end wrench. It could be cut about as short as the regular crow foot wrench we are currently using and hopefully then I wouldn't get into the torque compensation issue of the longer torque adapters. I haven't talked to...

Final torque of 350 ft/lbs. I've looked at the flare nut wrenches but I'm a bit leery of them. The regular crow foot has a lot of metal on the sides and I worry about it slipping off. I worry that the flare nut would just break. We use a couple of different backer wrenches. If I recall...
