Ridgid 5000r & Columbian d45 m5 one and the same?

My guess is this vise is from the '80s. It looks to me like the grey craftsman vises of that time also. And I believe they had a 5 1/2". I can't find any info on the crafty vise jaws though.

Ridgid 5000r & Columbian d45 m5 one and the same?

I'm having some trouble finding info on the Ridgid 5000r vise. I need jaws for it and need to know who made it. I believe it's a Columbian D45 M5, NOT an M4, which is a 5 inch near as I can find. I sure would appreciate it if someone on the board could measure the jaws on their D45 M5 for me...

    Mac tool box age?

Cool thanks fellas. The slides need attention badly. When I do that I'll pull it out of it's corner and find the date, now that I have a better idea where to look.

    Mac tool box age?

I couldn't find a date on this box. I didn't drag it out and look on the back. Does mac put a build date on their boxes? I was thinking this thing is from the 80s. The drawer pulls led me to think that. It's also got friction slides.

    Show us your portable toolbox!

My most used portable box. Late '80s Crafty. This is the junkyard box. Sucker is getting heavy! I had to add the "shoulder strap".

Milwaukee 46 in. vs. Husky 52 in. toolbox, which would you choose?

Just out of curiosity, Why would get rid of the two 26s and buy a new one? Are the Cman quiet glide boxes maybe? or maybe they're the shortys? Like I said I'm just wondering. Not poo pooing the idea of buying new tool boxes. ;) I'm currently using three craftsman 26s and I just got an old snap...

Video on replaceing a hammer handle on a ball peen

He links page 11 about the bench. Go back to page 10 in that thread and the vice stand is in there. It's pretty damn cool!

    Box end crowfoot wrench?

Lol, yeah I finally realized that I was looking at a different page than the one you linked. I was on some interactive catalog deal. It was kind of a pain in the ***. I should have just stayed on the link you posted. I'll have to wait until I'm at work tomorrow, but we might already use the...

    Box end crowfoot wrench?

Wow good find! That's close to what I'm looking for. Because of the location of these fasteners, being able to pivot the the crow foot around the ratchet head is pretty important. I haven't looked at the handle yet, I'm going to go check that out. Edit: I didn't understand that the heads...

    Box end crowfoot wrench?

Hey thanks for the input! I've had this on the back burner for quite some time because I wasn't really finding anything. Now that the time is closer that I'll be needing them, I need to try and get moving on this little project again. I appreciate the feed back.

    Box end crowfoot wrench?

My other thought was to have our shops broach a female hole in a regular box end wrench. It could be cut about as short as the regular crow foot wrench we are currently using and hopefully then I wouldn't get into the torque compensation issue of the longer torque adapters. I haven't talked to...

    Box end crowfoot wrench?

Final torque of 350 ft/lbs. I've looked at the flare nut wrenches but I'm a bit leery of them. The regular crow foot has a lot of metal on the sides and I worry about it slipping off. I worry that the flare nut would just break. We use a couple of different backer wrenches. If I recall...

Let's see your small Snap-On tool boxes/Snap-On storage boxes

Bringing this one back from the dead I guess, but I wanted to show off mine too! The littlest one is a '76 KRA 40, the other one is '79 KRA 24. Both were saved from the metal scrap bin.
