Was talked into buying a galvanized grate (walkway) to use as a welding table. Wow! Bad idea.
But I just bought a plasma cutter and the grate would make a nice sized cutting table.
Wondering if abrasive blasting would be enough effort to make a safe table...removing the zinc.

Welding some 1.5" square tubing (OD) as the frame for a 8' wood top bar...tall seating with coffee, etc. The legs at each end of the bar (1/end) come down centered on a 10" horizontal tube that I figure I'll insert an adjustable foot about 1" from each end.
Can I tap the 1/8" steel tubing...

I've turned the handle that loosens the fence to allow angle changes...and also loosened the allen bolt which I understand as the fence pivot point..
Maybe my description earlier of the problem moving the fence was not clear- the distance that I've adjusted...
Don't know if this is a common problem...but I bought the Fein Slugger 14 dry saw (due to good reviews) and there's some issues that bother me a bit.
Instruction booklet may be the worst I've ever dealt with spending $500. It just doesn't make sense outside of the general warnings and such...

Ooh. Sorry to hear that. Personally I know that I could get by with the Evo 380. But because hardly no one disses the Fein, I'm likely to go that route.
