    Work Bench Surface Material

I kept mine plywood, sealed it with a few coats and they have lasted for three years and look good still in a commercial environment. Brakekleen, penetrating oil and other chemicals have not bothered it yet.

    Grease gun problem?

My pneumatic ones do the same thing, I think that air gets trapped in there. The only grease gun that I have never had problems with is my cordless electric one. It is by far the best one that I have ever had, no problems and nevers develops air pockets.

    Big Mess!

Sometimes you really have to listen to the people talking to you. If you listen closely to them you can usually tell if they have personally done this project before or if they have listened to people that have done it before. If they don't seem like they have any first hand experience, I try...

What kinda lift do you have?

I have two 2 Post Forward 10K lifts and one 4 post Forward 20K lift. I used to have one of mine installed on a floor with only 3" of concrete for several years with no issues, lift was in use every day all day. There are pros to either one. It really depends on your use. As far as ease of use...

    I need a lift!

An asymmetrical design allows you to open car doors fully without banging them on the lift columns, increasing interior access and reducing vehicle damage. The lift columns are rotated 30-degrees, allowing the short and long off-center arms to position the car far enough back from the columns...

another reason not to buy cheap tool's

I would assume that the load rate would be dead lift, but I could be wrong. Was the motor and transmission being just lifted and then let go or was he pushing it along a driveway or floor and it was bouncing along the way when it began to crush. I guess there is no way to estimate the weight of...

another reason not to buy cheap tool's

What is the weight of a 7.4l? about 1000lbs maybe more depending on accessories? How about the transmission? Depending on what it is could be alot as well. He should have had that set back to the largest load bearing weight setting that lift can handle, look where the fatigue took place. I would...

    Polishing Aluminum

I usually use Neverdull, it comes in a can that you can get from any local parts store. It works well on most metals for cleaning.

    Ever Replace a Timing Belt?

It is not that bad. I did one the week before last, generally do about 2 timing belts a week or so. I can fax you all the details if you want them. Step by step directions, and pictures of the installation. Just let me know if you need them.
