Is it ok to exit the back of my meter/ service entrance with an LB. There is only two large knockouts on the bottom. they are used for power to the house and power in from the transformer. Now I want to run power to my detached shop and the only knockouts left to fit my buried 2 inch conduit are...
I have a stihl trimmer and blower that are battery. Love the stuff, no turning back to gas on those items. Mine is the "AP" series, the "AK" stuff is really strong also just a little cheaper price, for a couple thousand sq feet of lawn I would be using a batt mower also but my lawn is much...
I have a classic car that is stored in my shop. I want to keep it covered of course, but what happens with moisture under a fabric car cover. They say the fabric is breathable what does that really mean? It seems the car sweats during temp swings, And that must be getting trapped? What about...
I poured 4 weeks ago, temps at night were 29ish degrees for several days after. I was very worried about it getting to cold for my new slab, but i set a temp probe on the slab and set a pice of scrap foam board over it. For three or four days the temp reading didnt drop below 54deg. I couldnt...
I would caution against bed liner. Had a shop rig with a flat bed, after about 8 years the rust under the Rhino lining was so bad that the lining was peeling in big sheets. The entire plate of steel had to be cut off and replaced because of this. A painted bed could have been blasted and...
The main reason for lighting is just to brighten up the area in front of the shop. Its about 200ft from the house. And just very dark. we have no other things producing light (street lights and such). I dont need to work under them in any way. My biggest worries are that all the light would just...
I'm debating installing exterior soffit lights instead of lights on the wall over the roll up doors on my shop. I cannot find many photos of lighting done this way to help me decide. If you have yours done this way post a photo. My building has 3 roll up doors on the sides instead of the gable...
I have an older john deere a22 120v electric pressure washer. It works, but I'm not sure if its working properly. There seems to be almost zero info on the web about these units. The way it is set up is: there is a selector switch on top of the wand trigger, it reads "off" "soap" "rinse". Off...
My concern is that the slab would be under the girt, since it is commercial girting they are installed flat like a bookshelf between the posts. Foam would have to be nearly 5 inches thick to fill the gap from the skirt board to inside of the girt
My 40x48 pole building was recently finished, now im prepping for the slab. I will be pouring it my self with the help of a couple helpers. My question is what to do with the finished height of the slab. The building has commercial girts, they lay flat between the posts. The lowest girt is a...
Like others have suggested, that is a welded bushing/stud. It is not coming out without grinding and cutting. Then you need to replace with a standard bolt and spacer.
