Great job on the Drill Press Tony! It is looking pretty slick! I think it's always nice to take a tool that has been maybe forgotten about for a while and breathe new life into them. Honestly, looks better than new. How did you polish the column? Did you chuck it up in a lathe? If your...

Crazy how you ended up with a priced right, illuminated sign for DaBarn! Sweet score! I spy a blue Craftsman Drill press in the pics. A few pages ago, you were talking about beginning to restore it and possibly an old Craftsman bandsaw too. Any pics of the completed press?

Very cool temporary paint booth! Is that a blow-up model that runs on a fan like the car lot air dancer guy?

    Innova 5610

I had a problem with my 2011 Toyota Sequoia this weekend and went to O'Reilly to get a scanner. I bought an Innova 5410 for $219.99 + tax, but asked if I could return it if I didn't like it. The clerk told me no problem, he would take it back. The 5410 found my problem, and was easy to use...

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss Tony. Please accept my condolences. I lost my father after a stroke and following dementia very similarly. He passed Memorial Day 2024. I think of him often and am very grateful for everything he taught me. Prayers to you and your family.

Man, I saw all the notifications for DaBarn, got all excited thinking Tony's into some stuff but no.... I think we all miss seeing what's going on up there. Hope all is well my friend.

What a transformation! From a custom, handmade door, to a completely different level of custom, handmade door! Great work and it turned out beautifully!

Looking good man! I really like the barn wood on the exterior of the tool room. I'm going to be in your neck of the woods this weekend at the Mule Barn in DuBois for Pulaski Day. Have you ever been to the parade? It's a hoot!

    Show off your vintage lathe.

Thats a good looking lathe! Seems clean and looks like possibly original paint. Good score!

Batts look good, installed the same way I've always seen it done. Good progress! What are your plans for ceiling insulation? Blown in fiber or cellulose? Drywall and unfaced batts on top?

I just wanted to bump one of my favorite threads on GJ. Has anyone heard from Lamar lately? Maybe he's knee deep working on Buick's now that the Sales and Service Garage is complete. I really hope all is well.

    Craftsman 113.23881 Lathe foot attachment

Just to confirm if anyone else ever has this issue, I did solve the problem by getting a 5/16-18 square nut from Ace Hardware. Screwed it on the bolt, inserted assembly into round pipe lathe bed and tightened up. Thanks again for all your help @FrankLee and @yatg. I really appreciate your help!

Yes the bottom of the V is beveled and the square nut makes sense to pressure fit together. Thank you very much guys, you've solved the mystery that was stumping me!
