If the 2008 is anything like my 98 a 1/2" BB will work on the tensioner pulley to remove the serpentine. You'll need a clutch fan removal tool (that's what it's called) to remove the fan but you can borrow that from Autozone if you have one close. Other than that it's all basic hand tools iirc.

If one breaks or when working on something you can set up multiple ratchets with commonly used sockets for you project. Other than that... tool ho's.
