    Craftsman Warranty Going Away?

She may have told you that but that doesn't make it true. Being from the "executive division" means nothing, and saying that there is no one higher to talk to is complete BS. There is always someone higher unless you have talked with the CEO and the Board. These sound like good lines that...

In the market for a chainsaw

I have many Stihls and have had very good luck with them. The one Husqvarna that I have is an ok saw but it just isnt as nice as my Stihl's. That being said as long as you go with a "pro" brand you will be fine, the problems come when you buy something with a 30CC engine and a 22" bar for...

"All that tool money comes back" - Bull!

Just because it is deductible doesn't mean you will get it back, all it means is it will lower your taxable income. I wish it was a direct reduction from my taxes, that would be great.

    Cordless impact

I love my two Dewalt impacts, I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. They get my vote because they can be had inexpensively and they have a great selection of tools. I personally have had bad luck with craftsman power tools so I would stay away from them

Weak Air Wrench Or Bad Compressor

Larger ID means higher flow not higher PSI, PSI is not affected by hose orifice size.

    repairing IR air impact wrench.

Since impacts use air in bursts, the CFM is based on constant use, If your gun doesn't have power when your compressor is full, then there is still something wrong with your gun. 90psi off of your compressor is the same 90psi coming off of a large compressor, it just depends on how well the...

What's Your Favorite Tool Box Colour

My next set will likely be green, although I like the dark blue and the black that I already have a lot. Red is classic but a bit to common for me.

    digital multi-meter

My two flukes are both backlit, as is my Extech and some, if not all of the newer Craftsman are backlit.

    digital multi-meter

for 1 or 2 times a year don't buy a fluke, I own 2, they are great but they are not needed for the basics. For what you pay for a good fluke you can buy 15 of the craftsman meters that go on sale routinely for 13 dollars. as for fluke I have an 87 and a 179 and they are great meters but they...

Hee hee ... look what I found!

If we use this logic, then Milwaukee Makita Dewalt Skill Hobart Irwin Channelock Estwing Ingersoll-Rand and whomever else they sell for that I didnt see quickly looking at there website, must all have something wrong with them. My guess is they simply want to make money and if HF will sell...

SK Warranty??? - busted a ratchet today

I sent an email on a ratchet that I had for years and it finally needed a rebuild. They got back to me in under an hour, shipped me a rebuild kit for free and I had it in under a week. They were very good about it and gave me no trouble.

Review: SK 1/4 sockets and Craftsman

I think the majority of us have never had a poor quality SK tool. The interesting thing would be to know how many rejects SnapOn has. Maybe they never get to the customers because the drivers stop them but I work in a quality department for a fortune 500 company and there is no way to prevent...
