    What's wrong with this picture?

I would certainly contact the plumber first and give him a chance to fix it, but I wouldn't be paying that bill until it's done right. 3 stooges plumbing at any angle is certainly not industry standard and not what you can reasonably expect of a contractor. He can make it look like other homes...

    Ceiling Drywall

"Stomping" is what they call it around here if they create a texture on the drywall using a trowel and some drywall mud. They take the trowel, put smear a coat of mud onto a few square feet of the ceiling, and apply the trowel flat on the ceiling and pull straight down, creating a pattern of...

What if you just inherited a garage??

Then figure out how to **** the 40K out of the funds and into your pocket without going to prison. I hear the *** in prison *****.:lol_hitti

How do you keep dust off and out of your garage TV?

I wouldn't box it in without ventilation. Heat will kill it faster than dust. Unless it's metal (grinder) dust :D

Pole Building vs Steel vs Framed

Your local DIY store may have a computer setup to calculate materials cost for a "kit" based on size and construction type. Menards does. As I understand, one of the big savings on pole construction is you just need a concrete slab, no real foundation, and the cement costs half the price. If...

    This old garage

If it were mine, I would go around and tap all the wall studs with a hammer, if any sound mushy, cut out and replace. Getting the old out is a PITA, but you can drywall screw a new one in without much trouble.

Opinions on this Craftsman tool chest

If you or someone close and special to you is a Sam's club member, you might pop in and look at their stainless tool boxes with ball bearing rollers. They are nice and priced well. That being said, I have a cheap HF, but hey, at least it's brown crinkle finish! LOL

    Car hoods as decoration?

Front 6" of a car would be classic! "O" club in NAS Oceana has the rudder (tail) of several F-18's in it.

    New workbench

Nice! Consider that idea stolen! I'll be doing something similar after I get the metal shop all setup. That's really what I need. That can act as a second person to catch boards coming off the saw too, or support for ripping heavy plywood. Awesome :thumbup::beer:

    Work bench depth?

I use a 1 X 2 up on end to keep stuff from rolling off. I also space the bench off the wall for power cord pass through. Although I have bench level outlets, it still nice to be able to drop a cord back for bench mounted equipment.

Mess up of EPIC poportion May need to tear it down!!

It might not hurt to plan some cheap/low maintenance shrubbery around it to help it fit into the area if a metal building is not common. Make a drawing. Should probably follow through if you say it's the plan, but $100 of walmart shrubs go a long ways. Roses of Sharon look nice and grow quickly...
