    CDI vs Icon torque wrench

I have a Pittsburgh torque wrench, can confirm the CDI is substantially nicer. Both set torques accurately.

    Metric Wrenches--USA or other?

I filled out my upper size metric wrenches with singles from Armstrong, KD, and Kobalt USA at Cripe Distributing for pretty cheap.

Removing Casters from US General 42". Thoughts on protecting it?

Roll it over a bunch of steel dowels and then pull them out with a little wooden wedge action?

Icon Impact Socket Coating Coming Off

Worn finish tools is going to be the next patina car / aged guitar craze. Someday people will pay more for artisanal antiqued Icon gear.

HF 3 Ton Daytona Floor Jack

I had to go out and look, it's actually a Central Hydraulics but I figured all the non-Super Duty jacks are pretty much the same. Doesn't like lifting full size trucks a whole lot but it does do it.

HF 3 Ton Daytona Floor Jack

HF jacks are good actually, my 2 ton low profile is 15 years old now and I've been overloading it on gravel and doing all sorts of bad things to it. Only maintenance I've ever done to it is wipe off the dirt when it gets gross.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Got another Armstrong haul from Cripe today: Needed 21mm for lug nuts and everything else is mostly just because I thought it was cool. The ratcheting stubby bit driver is a gift for a friend, I really like mine.

Swapping tools to get same mfg

If it's not on eBay, it's probably pretty rare.

Does anybody have a smaller toolcart with just the 80% most used tools separate from the bigger toolbox?

That's the plan for my HF 5 drawer but right now it's all I got so it's 100% of my most used tools and weighs 200% of what it should. I do cars and pickup trucks now so I'd still leave 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 drive in the top. It wouldn't be too crowded if I took the extensions and lesser used...

    Christmas 2024

This year I'm buying all the presents, so I happen to know I'm finally getting my hands on a Knipex pliers wrench. Trying to score a mini toolbox from Harbor Freight for my miscellaneous drill bits and drill press gear but they're hot items this year.

    COO China

That won't stop the recasters, they can't read! Seriously though, good call on the return. This goes on sale with more stuff at Harbor Freight for like $60.

    Minimalist DIY Home Gamer Approach

All I have is a tool cart, but it's packed. I'd like a larger box to store the sometimes tools, and have some space left in the cart. Then I could gather what I need from the fixed box, put it in the cart, and take that to my work area.

    Broken Snap On Rachet

I busted my FL80 doing the kind of stuff you get the L one for. Contacted Snap-on customer service, told them my wife got it for me for Christmas (true) and asked if they could send me a rebuild kit. They sent one out free of charge the next day. Pretty easy to replace all the parts, even comes...

Anyone have a coupon for the HF Bauer drill press?

Looks like there's only a deal for inside track members right now. Dropping a link to the price tracker because that's a good tool to have: https://hfpricetracker.com/tools/58782

Old vs New Snap On Line Wrenches

I have a full set of the old style, metric and sae. They are excellent, never failed me and feel good in the hand as well.
