One of the Stahlwille "Stabil 20" ring spanners I bought new recently has the ring formed off centre. Also, there are many more grind marks NOT hidden by the matt chrome on the new spanners than on some 20year old ones I also own. So, either thinner chrome or less careful grinding on the new...

Stahlwille finish quality has definitely gone down in recent years. :( I have stabil series marked "stronger than any bolt" which are basically flawless, and stabil of new production that have lots of grind marks showing through the plating. One of my new ones (8 - 9mm) even has one end...
