    Hazet tool thread

Thank you for the reply. At least I know I did not get shipped an outdated wrench set. Sales volume would be as good a guess as any for Hazet not to update the NA line, but it is still surprising. I wonder how long ago they updated the metric 600 spanners/wrenches.

    Hazet tool thread

Could anyone tell me what current Hazet spanner/wrench models have an updated ring that drives the bolt flats? I purchase a 600na set and the ring end is of the old style that drives on the corners of the bolt. I hope that makes sense. The 600 na ring ends have a profile that is a pointed...

    Tools from the old world

Can anybody tell me about this item? Schlagring (seems to mean brass knuckles in german) W-Germany is on the head of the wrench/ratchet, and a picture of a brass knuckle. Handle states Anatom, W Germany, Crafty 855, and another Schlagring logo. My best guess is a early verson of a low profile...

Ko-ken Tools -- What Makes this Brand Special !?!?

Are the koken Zeal 1/4 shallow/short sockets practical for overall use, or just for when one is dealing with tight clearances. Looking at the height of the sockets, it seems it would make the ratchet sit a little too close to work objects to be used with complete ease. Does anyone find this to...

    Vessel tools father day sale

JDV tools is having a sale on vessel products for fathers day. Thought a few of the sets looked interesting. Not a fire sale, but decent prices if one would be interested in trying the vessel products, or picking up a few JIS drivers. 400 series looks like a fair deal, and the 900 series...

    Thin wrenches?

thinwrench.com I bought one to hold a chuck on a drill that needed to be removed. Have not tried to use it in a high torque situation but it worked well for the rusted chuck. Just wanted to give another source/option.

What's a budget value tire inflator for my air compressor? (NO Snap On for $560)

Another vote for PCL. I have a pcl accura. Extremely accurate. Not the cheapest. Only thing I don't like is the female attachment is plastic. I don't use it in a full service shop so can't comment on durability, it is primarily made of plastic and I use mine with care. Runs on a single...

    Need a Reliable Stud Finder

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E01R4U4/?tag=atomicindus08-20 I have a couple of this style of shinwa stud finder. I use these when I absolutely need to know each edge of stud. The pin hole is almost invisible. This also shows wall thickness. A fancier option to the tack nail I guess. I also...

Sunnex Rebate, Impacts, jacks, tool cart

WWW.SUNEXTOOLS.COM/CASH Remember this from a year ago, looks like they are doing it again. Seems to net some pretty good deals on impacts among other things. I do not know if it is okay to post a link. I did not know how to embed the flyer. Please remove if not acceptable.

    Recommend me a grease gun

+2 Macnaught. Depending on where you live, the only downside is they use bsp threads. Can make buying hoses, etc. a little bit of a hassle if you live where that is not a common thread type.

    Vintage compressor bearing lubrication question

I am trying to rebuild an old Sears Compressor, made by Campbell Hausfeld. I am unsure if I need to grease the needle bearings that support the crankshaft. I usually go by grease bearings and oil bushings, but this has me stumped. The needle bearings reside in the lower pump housing that...
