Oh-ho that's a keeper. Nice find! I had a similar Gedore kit but I'm a Hazet guy so I sold it. My Gedore kit was all 6 point. I don't think I have anything from that set but post up anything you're missing and I'll check.

I very rarely sell something of my Hazet collection so they're all keepers to me :bounce:.
Will have a look at what I have and think I can make it some kind complete, thanks for the offer.

Today I went to a 100 year old store, they have never removed anything out of it that wasn’t sold.

Found a brand new hazet wrench 30/36 and alu rivets to fix hazet assistents:)

It was also alowed to have a look at the stock.

Great experience that’s for sure!

And I bet you were like a kid in a candy store. That cabinet is pretty cool. I’ve picked up some old Rahsol sockets in the past.

Here is a small Hazet contribution.

5mm and 6mm extended hex sockets.

Could anyone tell me what current Hazet spanner/wrench models have an updated ring that drives the bolt flats?

I purchase a 600na set and the ring end is of the old style that drives on the corners of the bolt.

I hope that makes sense. The 600 na ring ends have a profile that is a pointed peak, rather than a more rounded peak.

I was hoping to get some deep offsets to match. I may go another direction if the ring ends will not be a modern flat drive style.

The catalog has a "TR" icon for the 600 indicating TRACTION PROFILE
12-point and a classic 12pt icon (non-traction profile) for the 600NA so they must have not updated the design.

I'm surprised by the fact they haven't updated the design but perhaps the market and volume doesn't justify new tooling.

Thank you for the reply. At least I know I did not get shipped an outdated wrench set.

Sales volume would be as good a guess as any for Hazet not to update the NA line, but it is still surprising.

I wonder how long ago they updated the metric 600 spanners/wrenches.

Would you keep or exchange this socket....one of my most $$ sockets to date. My Hazet 41mm arrived today. Must have been sitting in the ~bin~ getting banged around. The socket itself is fine but there are dent's here and there on the knurling grip portion of the socket

That Rashol display cabinet is wonderful, that kind of old shop you could spend days in there finding cool nos stuff.

I'll return that's for sure. The lady promised me that she had more stuff in her basement and attic that she has to move to the store and will keep an eye on what I'm interested in...

I've wanted a Hazet 161-5 accessory lamp but couldn't justify the amount of money they're getting for them. So, I built my own for about $90 total using a vintage Craftsman articulating lamp that was likely mounted to a lathe.

I documented it on my website: https://tools365.net/hazet-assistent-lamp/

Wel done! Looks very nice and it's unique that's for sure :). I used an Ikea lamp until I found a 'real' one. Still looking for an old type.

I have to say, these old Hazet 600 wrenches are still my favorite wrenches. The smooth finish and rounded profile make them really comfortable in the hand. I've been on the lookout for the missing sizes, namely the 13mm, 16mm, and 18mm, but haven't found any that are near as affordable as the rest of the set was.

What is real AIR consumption on Hazet 9012MT impact? 135 l/min (2.3 l/sec) - is it average air consuprtion or at LOAD? Ingersoll Rand has two number in specs for their producst.

Example for IR 35MAX 1\2":

Air Consumption @ Load (L/min) - 481 (17 CFM)
Average Air Consumption (L/min) - 113 (4 CFM)

Not sure I've seen people post about these...sorry if it has.

Hazet has released a 600N Extra Long Slim Design Combo wrench -- the 600 lg:

Loading capacity at least twice as high as DIN
At least 25 % longer than comparable standard spanners for larger power transmission
Better accessibility with low-lying screw connections
Shank with extra sturdy double-T-profile
slim design
Surface: chrome-plated
Made in Germany
Output: Outside 12-point traction profile
Higher torque due to the long lever
means: More power - less force
- Higher torque with the same effort
- Less effort at the same torque due to long lever arm
High HAZET competence in the development and production of spanners for over 100 years
Drop forged in dies developed and produced by HAZET
High quality in development, production, and the materials used in all HAZET spanners offer the user the greatest possible security and protection from injury, which means: before a HAZET wrench breaks at all, it warps and “signals” the significant overload to the user!

Hadn't seen those yet. But I see they were in 2015/2016 catalogue already so they have been on the market for awhile.

I do have the std length 600N set and few others but maybe I'll get a set of those too.

EDIT: done, ordered a selection in my 7 most used sizes.

Maybe new for the US market? the EN catalog has them highlighted in the front as "new":beer:

KLars1, what do they mean my "Slim" ?

Do they mean the open end is slimmer, or the whole wrench?

See below post.

Also check out the cool 150 year anniversary wrench !! Just saw that.:drool: Stamped with 150 and the years. Very cool.

OK, I pulled the data. The open end head thickness is identical (at least in the one I looked at, the 15mm but all other dimensions are slightly increased, I"m assuming to add some material for the increased leverages. They don't specify the beam thickness so not sure if that is different.

for reference, a Snap-On X-Long combo in 15mm is 266mm and Cornwell 261mm. Hazet 600LG is 4mm longer than the Snap-On in the 15mm...

600LG-15:
TECHNICAL DATA
Head thickness (a1) : 11.6 mm
Head thickness (a2) : 7 mm
Head width (b1) : 23.8 mm
Head width (b2) : 32.6 mm
Length : 270 mm
Openings across flats : 15
Output : Outside 12-point traction profile
Surface : chrome-plated
Total length : 270

600N-15:
TECHNICAL DATA
Head thickness (a1) : 11
Head thickness (a2) : 7
Head width (b1) : 21.4 mm
Head width (b2) : 32.5 mm
Length : 218

Openings across flats : 15

I have the 150year set, and it’s really nice indeed. The 13 spanner is in gold :bounce:
Will leave it in the packaging so can’t really use it but that’s no problem to me :)

@ KLars1: no problem!

Picked up another Assistent yesterday, no special model or so but the price was OK and located in my neighbourhood. Today I started to rub of the 'extra' paint, worked out rather well. The markerpaint was the hardest to get of. Most of the paint I removed with a 'magic' sponge but the markerpaint needed some carefull use of thinner.

Hi, can you order the new original rubber mats from somewhere (EU)? And I would also need new bumper rubbers that go around the body of the assistents.

I have couple of 171s and 3 162s (one is old logo 162, two others maybe 162N?).

Here are 4 of them

And the last one, ignore the arrow

You can order many spare-parts at hazet.de but saw the place-mats are not available at the moment.

Thanks, I'll take a look.

The 172HD mat (#172-012) is available. Maybe I could buy and cut it to fit the 162s and 171s? The 172HD mat is 755 x 375 mm.

Can you please measure the new 162 rubber mat you used? Thank you.

BTW. is it the 166N mat you have been using with your Assistents or did you actually get a model specific mats for your vintage carts?

Hi Tony, I had a little walk down in my garage to check.

The new place-mat (160-012 hazet nr) does fit all ‘normal’ small pocket topshelf assistents (161,162, 166TS,162N,166N,...), but does not fit the big pocket topshelf assistents (very early small a assistents). Also made a few pictures to compare the size to 168,171,172HD,174, mini assi.

Thanks!

What I was wondering, and why I asked you to measure, was this: is the 172HD mat big enough so I can cut 2 162/162N mats out of it? The 172HD mat is 755 x 375 mm.

From your 172HD pic - it might be? But actual measurement of the 160-012 would help. For some reason they do give the dimensions on the 172HD mat but not the 160-012 one.

I cannot go to my garage right now to measure my carts. Too far away at the moment.
