Looks like that would work. But that one looks like I need a taper as well. I can’t tell but it looks like my spindle doesn’t have a replaceable taper. Weird.

Chuck kept falling off and looking at the taper at the end of the spindle it looks pretty badly scored. After polishing it slightly with some 800 grit it doesn’t seem to have enough friction left to grab the chuck. I’m assuming a machinist can correct this? Is there an easier fix? I sort of need...
