hello all. just happened to put together a small woodworking bench and smoker table. yeah, i know table isn't the same but it'll get a lot of work done with it too...lol used plans from the net for the inexpensive woodworking table.. only thing is the vise that got ordered was a lite duty vise...
well finally got ceiling fan mounted and some blinds.. for the most part done except for walling in the bathroom, intalling a utility sink, point of use water heater and running water lines...

yes it's a rigid stand.. msuv something or the other... it works very well. the large wheels make it easy to roll across soft ground. and it sets up quick.. very stabil.... i just wish it had more mounting brackets so i could use it for more than the miter saw. the saw is also a ridgid 4121 i...
sorry to have been gone so long.. not quite done but further than i was...just tonite i finished trimming the windows and doors.. put base trim down and trimmed the ceiling... i was going to turn the toliet but i'm leaving it and just gonna wall it in .... i don't seem to have enought time to...

the toliet is going to get turned sideways so when i wall it and the window by it into a small restroom it won't intrude into the main room much...i'll be able to save a foot or better doing it.. (also have an exhaust fan to put in at that time..wire was run for the bathroom).

it's been a while... got it drywalled, mudded and painted.....decided to use knock down for the ceiling and orange peel for the walls...after doing so i believe my mud job would have been fine.. guess i should have primered it first before texture to see how it looked... anyhow in the next few...
so far bought recondioned milwaukee hammer drill....bolt fell out of it first time i used it...bought a reconditoned dewalt radio/charger....didn't charge and rattled when shook...opened it up and it had a double handfull of the screws used to put it together stuck to the speaker...
can you take some diamond plate or something similar and cut it for width and length and attach it with a piano style hinge? that way you could just flip it up and into the room when it's not needed and not make an obstacle in the outside walkway....the hinge would also hold it in place and keep...
like the open grate design? i think racedeck makes it? or am i way off? would be interested in hearing about it.....i'm in northern il...so it occasionally gets cold...

thanks for the answers guys... i guess it wouldn't be bad...now that you mention it my laminate flooring in the kitchen is the same way... for some reason it was really noticeable the other day on the two pieces i had...course an empty garage probably amplified it...
plastic type flooring sound in your garage?
got some samples of flooring today...had inquired about racedeck and swiss trax...(could be misspelled). anyhow snapped them together and walked on them and it has a ringing hollow plastic sound... does this go away when they are all snapped in place...
