Round Rubber Pads for Bendpak/Danmar Lifts

Those look good. But like I asked Imatk, how do you line them up to get the pinch weld in the groove as you are raising the lift?

Round Rubber Pads for Bendpak/Danmar Lifts

Those look really nice. How do you make sure they are lined up perfectly on the pinch weld as you are lifting? I usually raise the lift a bit and get them moderately close to the car, then go around and make sure that the pinch weld is somewhere near the center of the pad. If those had...

Round Rubber Pads for Bendpak/Danmar Lifts

I always used to try to cradle the pinch weld area (so the support is on either side of the pinch weld) to prevent damaging it. I used hockey pucks or something like that on my floor jacks. But for the 4 cars I regularly lift with my Danmar M6 lift I just lift directly with the rubber pads that...

    Standing vacuum test on mini-split

The hose is new, but the hose isn't even part of it because it is valved off and completely removed. It is like this: Pump -> Hose -> Valve - > Micron gauge. After the vacuum is pulled on the micron gauge, the valve is closed and the pump and hose are completely removed. It is just a closed...

    Standing vacuum test on mini-split

Yeah that is how I plan to do it when I am connected to the system. Actually I plan on using another core removal tool hooked to the side port, just so I can valve off the micron gauge when I release the refrigerant. I'm not sure if that has to be done, but I have seen Craig Migliaccio do it...

    Standing vacuum test on mini-split

thanks. I have the AC Service Tech book (by Craig Migliaccio) and also watched many of his videos several times. Like you said, there are lots of bad videos out there. I had not heard of True Tech Tools, I will check out those videos. Craig definitely says to remove the valve cores. I...

    Standing vacuum test on mini-split

I don't plan on removing any valve cores as I think that is just to speed up the job a bit..but increases the risk of something going wrong. I am just wanting to use them so that I can valve off the pump and the micron gauge so that oil doesn't get on the micron gauge when I'm holding a vacuum...

    Standing vacuum test on mini-split

I guess I was too wordy and it wasn't clear. I haven't hooked anything up to the system or done the nitrogen test on the system yet. I was just testing my vacuum pump, hose, VCRT and gauge. So what I have is essentially: pump -> hose -> shut off valve -> micron gauge. I open the shut off...

    Standing vacuum test on mini-split

I am getting ready to install a 9k BTU mini-split. I have a vac pump and a new CPS VG200 micron gauge. The instructions I have read say to use a couple of valve core removal tools, a vac pump and micron gauge then pull a vac to around 200 microns, valve off the vacuum pump and turn it off...

Messed up mini split now what?? Help!

The VG200 says to use denatured alcohol to clean it. I have no idea if isopropyl alcohol is ok or not.

    Truck stuck on lift

I was in regular contact with who I think was the head of tech support at Danmar. They seemed very concerned but really didn't have a solution. They first mentioned the paint, but then later changed to saying they thought it was an issue with the cylinders. I really needed a functioning lift...

    Epoxy Anchor installation

The existing concrete slab was about 5" thick and the epoxy anchor needed a 6" hole. So I hammered the old wedge anchor down to about 6.5" below the surface of the floor. Then I mixed up some SikaGrout 212 and injected it through the existing hole using a cheap oil syringe that had a fairly...

    Epoxy Anchor installation

Ok, thanks. That is what I thought you meant. With my wedge anchors they specified 120 ft-lb I believe. I actually use a longer bolt and run it all the way to the bottom (maximum thread engagement) then I hold the bolt with a socket while I tighten a nut down against the base plate. It...

    Epoxy Anchor installation

What do you mean by "torque wrong"?

    Epoxy Anchor installation

Are you talking about coating the area (where I drew the red lines in the attached pic) with epoxy, then filling the hole with epoxy then inserting the anchor in the hole?
