OK, thanks. The reason I asked is the smallest die handle had the centering screw plate. Plus I have seen other brands with it as well. Does this attachment really help or does it get in the road of doing a good job?
Hi,
Is it my imagination or have many of the Greenfield / O.K. tap and die sets I see on eBay have had the original die handles which had the centering screw plates been replaced with die handles without the centering screw plates?
Hi, Recently, I was able to buy 24 Greenfield O.K. dies ranging in size from the 2-1/2" diameter dies, to the 1.5" diameter dies, and also the 1" diameter size dies. I also bought the screw plate handle for the 1" diameter dies. I am interested in getting the 2-1/2" screw plate handle and the...
Thanks everyone for their replies. After looking at other threads on this forum, plus examining my Shop Vac more closely, I have found that Shop-Vac CALLS their hoses 2-1/2" size, but in reality the hose has a 2" ID! Nothing on a Shop-Vac hose of my vacuum's vintage meets a 2.5" dimension...
Hi, I am looking to extend or buy a longer 2.5" diameter hose for my Shop Vac Model QPL45 (2001). I know the old part number for the 6 ft long hose is 91927. The 8 ft hose Shop Vac currently sells is 905033. My hose is currently 11 ft long. I would like to get between 20 ft to 30 ft length...
I am looking for an extra stop nut for my 17"-600 Delta drill press (serial no. 1505836). I uses the micro-nut stop with the numbers on the edge. As near as I can tell it has a 5/8-11 thread, but I think the thread is ACME because a regular 5/8-11 nut will not thread on the stop rod. But...
I am considering making the handle bumper for my Snap-on taco wagon (KRA-396U) tool box. This is a plain (no logo), wedge or trapezoidal shaped rubber bumper that is no longer being made. I have modeled it in 3D CAD and am in the process of printing it out on a 3D printer in thermoplastic...
I have a KRA-396U Snap On Tool Cart I am restoring. This is a "Taco Wagon" cart from 1973. Does anyone know if the paint on this box is lead paint, or is it just plain enamel?
Thanks
Pictured here is a tool newly created by one of our Dayton-Buckeye Model A Club members, Mike Bogart. This is a special Vise-Grip he designed, patented and is currently being manufactured by Irwin Tools. It requires less force to clamp and it requires less force to unlock but still grips like it...
Also, I pressure washed my cart after I degreased with citrus cleaner. Beware that these citrus cleaners will take off the paint! I wiped off most of the grease with paper towels and citrus cleaner. Most aggressive was Goo-Gone. Drawer slides are still available from Snap-on if you need...
SAA44-40: I am fixing one up very similar to yours. A good paint that is inexpensive and a very good color match is Krylon Troy-bilt Red available thru Lowes. At about $4.70 a can it is more economical than Snap On paint at $25 a can. FYI
I have obtained dimensions of the wedge-shaped end cap on the handle. It is NOT the same as the nicely-molded end cap Aeromech showed above. If I tried to get some made, how many of you would be interested in a pair? I am thinking of having them machined from solid rubber. I think I would...
Can anyone give me dimensions of the rubber ends on the handle for the KRA-396 tool cart (taco wagon)? From my handle I estimate the inside hole is 5/8" x 1-5/8". But I don't know the outside dimensions, how thick it is and I know it has a taper from the handle side outward.
I also have...
