    A/C Lines Inside or Outside?

Since the Houston area has such high humidity, sweating is my concern. I may try running the lines in a plastic pipe as was suggested. This may help direct condensation where needed, and help protect the lines from damage.

    A/C Lines Inside or Outside?

I’m just finishing R-19 insulation on the walls of my barn / shop, and am going to install a mini-split soon. I wanted to run the lines inside behind the insulation, but a friend advised that outside would be better because of possible condensation issues. Just trying to get a little cleaner...

    Wiring an Outlet

Let me clarify....The source of the power is a box with 2 light switches. One switch controls the garage light, and the other controls a spot light for the driveway. Each of them is a 3 way switch. Thanks !

    Wiring an Outlet

I installed an 120V outlet in my garage and pulled power from the light switch box above it. There are 2 switches and both are connected to another switch that controls the same light. White wire on one side, black wire on the other, and a ground wire. It seems like the voltage is only 1/2 of...

    Barn A/C or Not?

I recently built a 26x36x10 pole barn with wood siding and OSB underneath. No insulation or ceiling either. Roof pitch is 6/12. My part of Texas is hot and humid, so a mini split A/C would be great. So, I thought about adding a 36000 btu unit, but I wonder about its effectiveness. Spending the...

    Wood Storage Ideas

Now that my barn / shop is built I need to start organizing. The first step is to get the wood off the floor. Since the construction is 6x6" post & beam with 2x6 bookshelf girts, I have to come up with a different method to mount brackets for 8 foot long wood than I use for my stick built...

    Blinking LED Lights

I have had LED flood lights in the ceiling of our family room for over 2 years. Recently, one started blinking rapidly not long after being turned on. Now 3 others are doing the same thing, but very sporadically. I removed the first light and examined the contacts for the bulb and fixture, and...
