I am going to pull the flywheel on my Briggs ZZ engine to dig into the ignition in hopes of getting spark. The manual calls for a 29020 puller. Those appear to not be the most common item for sale, in fact I am not able to find one.
Can I use a generic flywheel puller, or is there a “hack” or...
Thatnks! The shaft was nice and smooth, I put the seal in a couple days days ago and today I put it all together and fired it up. No leak. When I took it apart I also found the the lovejoy spider was gone and the metal of the spurs was about half gone. So it got a new lovejoy connector also.
I...
Well I appreciate no one who has been there and done that making fun of me. I took the mount plate and lovejoy off tonight and it is just a 5068 seal, says right on it.
I have a splitter that I bought new in the early 1990’s. It is an MTD, and the pump has started leaking around the shaft seal. The pump is a Barnes 7170936, and I can not find much at all online about it. Wondering if anyone can help me locate a new shaft seal for it, or would I have to get the...
Actually it came from a widow who’s husband passed in 2012. The county sent me to eradicate the beaver in a ditch that runs through her property, and she asked me to get rid of groundhogs under her shed while I was working there. After that, she asked me if I could get that old tractor out of...
I posted the engine of this tractor on here several days ago, and it was generally agreed to be a Briggs Z or ZZ.
Now I wondering what the tractor frame itself is, and what the deal with that rear end is? Someone put a hydraulic unit on it with a single acting cylinder under the machine and a...
I was given a highly modified garden tractor, and I can not find any identifying information on the engine. Buddy says he thinks it is an old Kohler. Has a glass settling bowl, and a cylinder fuel tank. I am hoping someone will recognize the engine or be able to give me some insight as to age...
It sure looks similar to a lot of them, but I can not find one with that emblem in the casting. Maybe if I take it apart I will find something like numbers or a hidden sticker. Has me stumped. I even tried drawing the emblem on paper and doing a google image search without any luck.
Thanks for that lead. So far I can not find any logo for the astro brand, so still not sure. I guess I may never know. This jack does not currently lift, but I have not topped the fluid off yet and I suspect that will be the ticket.
Thanks again!
