My Wolverine garage floor is finally complete and my wife no longer thinks I am crazy for wanting to spend the time and money on a garage floor. It looks amazing!
Also, the customer service from Fred at Alpha Garage exceeded all my expectations. He was quick to respond to all of my neurotic...
I ended up getting the dual disc Edco. I don't know if it was the better choice because it took me almost 8 hours for 450 sq ft. Even after the grinding (with an extra 50# weight) the floor was still very smooth and I still had to acid etch with muriatic acid.
Thanks for all the help guys.
I went and bought a couple of gallons of muriatic acid and etched the concrete again with a 1:1 ratio. That acid is no joke because it started steaming the second it hit the concrete, but I am finally happy with the current status of the floor. I think it finally...
So I am prepping my garage for my Wolverine coating, but i am having the hardest time trying to get the floor to feel like 100 grit sandpapper.
Today I rented a dual disc Edco grinder with the diamond inserts and i used it for over 7 hours on my 450 sq ft garage. I ended up with almost 10...
Thanks for the help guys!
I have the dual disk ("24") Edco reserved for tomorrow morning. Hopefully I can complete the grinding of my 450 sq ft garage in one day.

I just finished cleaning and degreasing my garage floor this past weekend in preparation for my epoxy coating (Wolverine!!!). I am planning on grinding the floor this next weekend, but I noticed this morning that the floor has a very fine white dust residue. I am assuming it’s from the cleaner...

I am working on the new wiring of my garage and I have been told by a few people that I should run a 220 line for future use. However, I am not sure what type of 220 outlets that I should run.
Would you guys recommend a 20 amp 240 outlet with two hot's and a ground...
I am not sure what the deal is, but these guys have the exact same photo's and color's as the supercoat people. I wonder what product actually matches those photo's??

I am a little concerned with Romex because it seems like one out of three or four people are dead set against using it. I know many people that have used it and never had a problem. I am guess that I am looking for some reassurance because my wife would get a tad violent if I burnt the house...
I currently have one unfinished wall in my garage and before I insulate and drywall this section I want to run two new outlets to a new circuit in the basement. I am considering Romex but I am a little worried about running Romex (NM) in the garage even though it will be protected by drywall...
