KILLER deals on IR 20V Cordless and 2135QTIMAX on Amazon Canada

Yeah, the Canadian dollar's worth more against the USA dollar than it used to be but it sure as heck isn't a 12 to 1 ratio. I'd estimate about $115 USD for the first one and about $56 for the second one.

    Snap on made in Spain?

The "a lot of snap on...is made in China" makes sense if one counts all the Snap-on labeled knives and other miscellany outside of actual tools - most of the knives are made in China or Taiwan and there are Snap-on gloves, pencils, pens, and hats that are not made in the USA. Their tools though...

    Recommend a jig saw please

The problem I had with that one was the limited orbital positions and more blade drift - got the right amount of power and dust control though.

    Screwdriver bit difference

Ribbed for Phillip's pleasure? (sorry, could not resist).:lol::lol: Kidding aside, I like this feature because it makes it a lot harder to strip a screw head - keep in mind Phillips are designed to cam out under high torque to prevent overdriving but at least with this form you can...

    Recommend a jig saw please

The Bosch and Milwaukee jigsaws have a lot of power, good air movement, and adjustable shoes with little blade tracking/drift. Festool makes the best jigsaws with stroboscopic lights to "halt" the blade (the strobe effect makes the blade seem as if it were standing still so you can see a cut...

Major disadvantages of stubby impact wrenches

I like the idea of stubby impacts but I'm not sure I need one - I don't do a lot of internal mechanic work (take off lugs mostly, oil changes, tire rotations, basic engine maintenance).

Only if you're AWESOME!!!!:rocker: Seriously though, aren't PATs (powder actuated tools) only used for concrete?

    Dewalt Cordless Impact Wrench

A little wobble with an impact socket is okay, a lot is not. How much slop are we talking about?

    Wood Lathes

There, fixed it for ya!:D Tung oil's a great choice though, better in heat than shellac.

Amazon's Prime Day Sale & Tools

100% agree - very few real specials to be had for us ergalomaniacs (tool nuts).

    Ridgid 12v Impact Driver

Ridgid makes a brushless model? The Gen5x isn't brushless to the best of my knowledge - it's awesome yes but not brushless.:headscrat

    Wilton wood vise

Fair to middling depending on the day of the week and the site used. I've seen many modern versions with the pop-up bench dog and spare dogs from these versions may fit your classic vise.

    milwaukee 18v impact problem

If the battery works for the drill without issue there's something wrong with the impact - either it's sending a short circuit signal to the battery to prevent overload or there's a connection problem in the impact driver itself (likely the latter versus the former).

HF Earthquake 1/2" impact, CFM ?

That sounds like a fun little experiment, let us know if you actually plan to do this.:spit:
