just pick up a table top model 80 I was told and thing is f'ing awesome cant go wrong with these old drill presses she's was going for 2-3 hours the other day and no problems
So yesterday I tore her down scrubbed her clean and u guys were right about checking the motor there was a wire grounding out I could feel a little tickle when I used it so repaired the wire and she's all good I've read some threads were this model isn't good for drilling metal I tried a few...
Spoke to soon she works fine but the bracket in front of the motor is cracked how'd I miss it? Over excited I guess plus one dumb question (yes there is such a thing) the chrome knob on the left side opposite of the pull down lever is for what? I notice last night that it doesn't spring back up
yes a lot of using no more vise gripping to the side of the work bench and flying parts that come loose after LOL I might even drill me some front axles just for the heck of it

so found this craftsman drill press on craigslist and after a hour drive and 30 minute wait it was mind for the wonderful price of $40 so did I do good? either way I been wanting a drill press and now I got one
ok the black husky is new the brown craftsman ive had for awhile the red stacked one i just got. the bottom says waterloo but someone painted over the emblem on the top one. it looks just like my craftsman chest but the emblem is in a different pleace. anyone happen to know more info on it thanx
