I've used 3M foam ear plugs for years, but I like listening to music in the shop. I recently picked up a pair of ISOtunes Bluetooth earplug headphones, best thing ever!

I've seen "Pam" or similar cooking spray suggested because it vaporizes completely well below welding temperatures. I would use acetone to clean before welding.

Seems like changes in bite would cause a lot of side to side motion of the die grinder. How do you keep it tracking down a straight line?

I didn't know palm routers existed, so thanks for that suggestion. One of those looks like it would work great for open flat areas, but there are also a lot of perpendicular bulkheads crossing the seams, especially in the bow area. Need something with reach, maybe die grinder...

I noticed a Wilton belt sander in the hall at work that looks like it shares a lot of DNA with my Delta model. Anyone know the story on that? Who copied who?

I've got a Delta belt sander, it has a 42x1 belt and a table/disc on the side. The belt wheels are black plastic and I see cracks in some of them. None of the parts places I've checked has the wheels. Any source suggestions? Thanks! -- Carl

Hmmm, my tractor roof is a sturdy platform. I have a voice activated remote I use to control it while I'm up there ("okay son, move forward").
