Any alternative uses for a miter saw stand?

I added some of the quick attachments to my lunchbox planer, it was better than attaching it to a bench top.

Above 1200 Sq/FT Jeff's Mountain Side Shop (Portland)

Great build! I’m the farthest thing from a networking expert, so apologize if it’s a dumb question, but it appears you’re Ubiquiti setup includes a UDM-Pro and a stand alone security gateway. Are those redundant? If not I may need to modify my setup :-)

    Carpenter bee pandemic

Enough practice and you can get multiple bees with one swing, especially in early spring. I've hit three at once, talk about gratifying....

Cabinet for Small Parts Storage Cases

It really started in the planning phase, measurements for T-boxxes and L-Boxxes are mostly in metric as, to your point, are the measurements for Baltic Birch. I’ve found that if I build out the cut list in Excel and added formulas, I’m less likely to make a mistake or forget something. I...

    Best overall floor jack?

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Tire Tool Direct is one of the Amazon Marketplace sellers now. So I bought it on Amazon's site, just selected the aforementioned seller.

    Best overall floor jack?

Not sure if you're looking for the long reach or the DK20Q, but right now on Amazon they are about $60 cheaper than normal. I purchased from B2C Auto and at ~$340 a few days ago and my order was promptly cancelled. Another seller, Tire Tools Direct, had the same price so I ordered from them...

I got mine, as described, very nice!

Need a dust extractor and separator for track saw.

I also was lucky enough to get in on the Flex deal and also have limited space. Originally I planned on getting the dust deputy, but am questioning the need after using the felt bags for the extractor. I built a cabinet with 24 shelves using table saw, track saw, RO sander, and router going...

Cabinet for Small Parts Storage Cases

I’m afraid to do the math, probably something on the order of $65 per delivered with the inset boxes.

    Sawstop portable

It's sensitive, but doable. I was able to place a dado stack at the exact height I wanted it using mine, took some back and forth and patience. The flip side is non-exact measurements like adjusting the blade to cut different thicknesses of ply are very fast and easy.

Cabinet for Small Parts Storage Cases

The first time I saw SOJ's cabinet I knew I had to make my own. At the time I kept my small parts in a drawer in a number of Plano type organizers. They were not efficient with storing various sizes and quantities of items and you had to move them all around to find the part you needed...

    Williams Tools

I had a decent sized order with Toolsdelivered.com on 12/26/19, everything arrived as ordered a few days later. If they’ve gone out of business since then it’s a shame.

    Restoring Kennedy tool boxes

I’d encourage you to try cleaning it, here is a before/after of my red crinkle finish with Murphy’s Oil Soap: <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/gp/marantzer/0q7618" title="78489BCA-7E97-4B8F-9F48-FBF903B82F2F"><img...

    Sawstop portable

I bought the Jobsite Saw this summer, although mine is not the version that just came out. A number of folks dislike the inventor of Sawstop for his approach in trying to mandate his technology becoming a safety requirement. As a consequence, there’s a some folks that want nothing to do with...

    Restoring Kennedy tool boxes

I bought a crinkle red Kennedy a few months ago, overall the paint was intact, but a LOT of grease and grime. It laughed when I tried to clean it with WD40. I then tried Murphy’s Oil Soap not diluted. It’s now damn clean, but the straight Murphy’s tinted it closer to Orange. I’m betting it...
