Correct hammer for cold chisel / punch

I'd never heard of a drilling hammer until now, but that's exactly what I've always used.

Intermixing Metric and SAE Sizes in Tool Storage

This makes no sense OP. Most things you'll be working on will use either metric or SAE fasteners, so in that case you're just making it harder for yourself to find the right socket.

How Can I Make a Custom Blow-Molded Style Portable Tool Kit?

Blow molded cases are horrid. Just get some kind of tool storage system like an L-boxx and have some company make a custom (preferably closed cell) foam inlay for it. That should last you a long time, and you can always ask them to make a few duplicates, because once they have everything setup...

I want to go metric - anyone other Americans done this

The hubble not working initially was due to them making a mirror to the wrong specs because they didn't calibrate their setup correctly.

What's the best practice to prolong the life of Li-ion batteries?

For long term storage li-ion batteries should be stored in a dry environment at low temperatures and not fully charged.

Who decided on the sizes for Torx?

I have torx drivers down to T2, so they definitely exist, but you'd need to look at precision screwdrivers. For example these wera drivers go down to T1. Though I'd just buy a set with bits instead of separate drivers if you don't intend to use them often.

Is brushless worth it? Dewalt drills.

I had a dcd796 (hammer-drill version of the dcd791) briefly but ended up returning it because they couldn't give me one where the chuck was aligned properly with the body, even after swapping it twice. The chuck itselft was just a no-name jacobs style chuck that tended to come loose when using...

    Electronic torque wrenches, opinions?

If you don't mind spending a lot of money on a torque wrench you could look at Stahlwille, they make excellent torque wrenches. The heads are also exchangeable so you can have a 3/8" drive ratchet and switch to a open ring etc. see for example: http://kataloge.stahlwille.de/katen1617/#page_202

    1/4" + 1/2" Socket Set (Skip 3/8) - Doable?

Yeah the norm here in Europe for auto techs is using 1/4" and 1/2" only for some reason. Whenever I try to buy 3/8" sockets or extensions from my local tool store they have to order it from the distributor 95% of the time, since apparently those are rarely sold (according to the store owner). I...

    worst tool brand

I found a 10mm open box wrench in a corner of my garage that was some indian brand and the chrome finish was honestly rougher than sandpaper. Another time I was fixing my car using a set of "steelwood" branded open ended wrenches and while trying to loosen a nut with the 14mm one of the jaws...

Does anyone know the Make & Model of this floorjack?

For what it's worth it seems to be exactly the same as my rodac REQ3005 but in yellow instead of red.

    Tools from the old world

You could get stahlwille, hazet or gedore, they should al be a very tight fit. If those don't do it then probably nothing will. I have a teng tools (taiwanese) set of hex sockets for brake calipers and those are a really snug as well, but if you're only buying a 7mm then you might as well get...
