    ok the half nut scrol is installed and if any body cares they are interchangable part number on the parts is 9-38 and 10d-38. interchangable pass

    well i just man up and bought the 10d-38 half nut scroll. If it works great and if not well thats why i got a lathe, right.

    Thanks for the help everybody i join the 618 group and got some help. I have been looking on ebay for parts. I found out that it is a 101.07380 and it the same one in the 1936 power tool catalog. Also if anybody out there wants to add your input is gladly accepted.

    Chuck maintenance

    do the y have 2 little holes in the back? if so that where you put the spanner wrench to unscrew the chuck/ open up the chucks.

    yeah you probably right, some thing to do with electrical work. but i would still like to know. it could have been a work station for model trains? but i do not think that it was a "one off deal" or home built peice.
