    New Racedeck flooring installed.....

Hello all, I have been a member here for several years now. I have built two shops and I installed Racedeck in both. It is safe to say I am an avid Racedeck fan and supporter. Over the past year, I have gotten divorced and am relocating to a new house. This is a brand new build with an oversize...

Race Deck - 7 years later

I have had my racedeck down for about 6 years and could not be happier with it. I try to keep my shop looking as nice as I can but it does get used. I do put down cardboard when I weld and I mop it with soapy water ever so often. About once a year I mop with Snaplock restore which makes it look...

    Metal lathe/mill advice

I will chime in also. I am an engineer and graduate of machining school. I have had a Smithy 1324 Granite for several years and do with it exactly what you describe. I have built several custom cars with many one-off parts, all made on my Smithy. As others have said the lathe is better than...

How important is garage closely matching house style?

My wife and I have had 6 houses all with shops during our life together. All have been in residential/sub divisions and until now all have been detached but did match the house in materials and style. When we sold each house, every new owner was looking for a house with a shop so it was a plus...

    Armorpoxy Decisions and recommendations

Tom, I couldn't be happier with mine. Two years ago, I called and talked to a saleman several times getting information for everything I thought I should know before starting my DIY project. I ordered, and followed the instructions to the letter. The floor looked awesome!!! Fast forward a year...

    Garage cabinet advice

After a ton or research and talking with different cabinet vendors at the SEMA show I decided to go with the Hercke Cabinets. Their pricing was good, the quality is awesome with heavy metal feel and powder coating. Plus all the drawers have "soft close" feature that is pretty cool. They have a...

Do your due diligence before painting your floor

GarageFlooringLLC, Not at all, but I do appreciate your pointing out my oversight. I do not want to mislead anyone in my posting, I only hope to help save another member the monetary pitfall I experienced No, I did not do any moisture testing prior to painting. I called the paint supplier...

Do your due diligence before painting your floor

GarageFlooringLLC, Yes, pardon my incorrect verbiage, I did use epoxy but said "paint". My mistake. Thanks for setting me straight. Yes, they said the reason was the to high of a ph factor (10). Do your due diligence before painting your floor

I posted here about a year and a half ago about painting the floor in my new garage. I did everything I was told to do by the product seller and was very pleased with the end result. Now, fast forward a year and a half. After about a year the painted floor started to turn orange in several...

    RaceDeck Transition Issue

Danieldd, In your picture, did you cut the blue tile that close around the door track or did you trim the door track up allowing the tile to slide beneath it?

    Mick's Cuda Cave

Thanks for all the kind words guys, they are truly appreciated. It has been funny, but I have someone call me almost weekly to see if they can bring a friend over to see the shop. It turns out that being able to share it with others, who appreciate it, is the largest reward. I am very pleased...
