32x70 Pole barn, 20x32 heated (kinda), how best to reinsulate this space to be way more efficient

The overall building size is 32x70, with 20x32 of it being heated with the tube, plan on using the tube but for summer time a mini split or window ac unit to keep the 20x32 cool on hot days. the million dollar question is to rip out the old osb/pegboard and then reinsulate the whole thing or not.

32x70 Pole barn, 20x32 heated (kinda), how best to reinsulate this space to be way more efficient

Hey everyone, just purchased a house on 10 acres, mama loves the house I love the pole barn. So it has a ceiling radiant heater but as you can see in the pics the 20x32 heated space is poorly insulated. Looks like maybe a 1" piece of Styrofoam between the OSB or pegboard and they nailed it all...

How efficient are mini splits for use in a 32x40x16 pole barn in Michigan

I've been doing a lot of reading, so here is the pole barn, you can see one large door one small, plan is to do batts in the walls r19 and r38 in the ceiling. Probably combo of OSB/Steel for the walls and Steel for the ceiling. Trying to determine if a mini split can maintain 65 deg temps while...

Insulation around outside of the garage foundation

So I have an existing garage, well insulated walls and ceiling, garage door has insulation, etc. But normal slab so in the winter the concrete floor gets really cold and while I can heat up the space once the concrete is cold I'll never warm it up. So my foundation is block on the outside some...

Affordable Garage Cabinets, Is There Such A Thing?

If you have a local habitat for humanity resale store you can find cabinets in there all the time for 20-30 bucks, over a period of a month you can pick some similar ones up, paint them all the same color and boom. Cheap garage cabinets.

    Lathe Bench/ Cabinet

You mean like this one. Made a solid frame for them to sit on, used a solid core door for a top and bolted the cabinets to the door. Then mounted the lathe on top. No vibration, no issues and tons of storage for 100 bucks. go for it.

    Anyone know Atlas 12” Lathes?

A lot of people will chuck the motor and actually go to a treadmill motor and speed controller, then mount up an rpm sensor to control speed. A buddy of mine did it to his southbend and loves it. Something I am going to do to mine as well. I did it for a bandsaw and it works great for metal...
