The current production run is Apex (taiwan) and should be just about the same as GW. Maybe not as my gearwrench are china.
As far as the impact sockets go they wont fit where i need them too.
I'd like the snap on's but 40 bucks each is out of my range.
The astros are bad....I keep looking at SK still pricey but not out of this world. Don't really want to have to ship them off if it breaks i've broken 2 "standard" sockets in my life. I break a hand full of GW swivels a week.
Really looking hard a carlyle the design looks different than apex...
Been using gearwrench, pins keep coming out, i push them back into place, then go fight advance auto to replace them when i get done (where i purchased them kept original receipt and photo copy) with that i'm working with. Starting to get kinda old though.
Snap on does not have a pin through...
Something is wrong with my metic set at the very least. I was going through an old top chest i keep rarely used tools in. I dont use t handles to much after i invested in bit sockets. Pulled an old craftsman ball 6mm hex out, broke all 4 bolts loose with no issue at all.
The magnetic mechanics time savers. Expensive but by far the best in my opinion.
The ease of use is what makes the difference for me atleast.
I used hansons, it was rare but if i tipped one over in the drawer i spent a few minutes cleaning it up, when you grab a socket you have to go straight...
I may have a bad batch. I have all 3 sets the metric, and standard long ball ends, and the torx.
The torx have been great (have to use them on hex fasteners the ball ends wont take out).
The ball end sets both purchased months apart from 2 different stores, seem to be either soft or sized...
You should stick to selling pro form and nordictrack.....and if your 991 merchandise is being sold as described you should bring it up with a district manager in private.... whoever is taking 10% off retail on sears branded products for 991 has no idea what they are doing.
The craftsman lineup...

I dunno, my dads #2 phillps circa ? , the #2 i bought in 2003 in high school, and the one i got for christmas 2 years ago all seem to be just as bad.... the 03 model shaft did discolor and looks almost galvanized now. which is odd.
