Built a shed on screws. Thought it was a little wobbly at first (clay soil). But now that it's been through a freeze and thaw cycle everything is rock solid. Easy to install and would do it again.
The ones I bought suggested driving a length of rebar first then running the screws down the...
Thanks everybody for the ideas. Decided to go with the clamp solution. Couldn't find anybody with an official beam clamp, but I had some clamps to hold the cap on the bed of a pickup truck which look like they will work just fine. If this doesn't hold up then I'll bite the bullet and drill a...
My old garage door opener finally gave up and I am replacing it with a new one. The new one is slightly longer than the old and the motor unit lines up directly under the steel I beam that crosses the garage. I'm thinking that would be even more solid than the angle brackets that secured the...
Good questions. This condensation is in one bedroom only. It's at the top of the walls, near the ceiling so no problem with air circulation. My daughter generally leaves her door open.
We don't have ice damming. It's a steel roof, facing south and the snow slides right off.
Thanks for...
Not really a garage question, but you guys are the best I know at this stuff.
We are having what appears to be a condensation problem in one of the bedrooms in our house. The walls are sweating to the point that you can see the stain from the water running down. I've not measured it with my...
We were going to go with the natural gas fully automatic setup until we found out how much it was going to cost to upgrade our gas line over 200 feet to the road. Took the budget to a whole new level.
We decided on the portable route.
I picked up a Generlink http://www.generlink.com/about_generlink.cfm. It installs behind the meter so gives a generator plug and a proper transfer switch. I like it because i can manually manage my load, depending on my current needs.
The trouble with the extension cord method is that it is...
Re: The Building of Coop's Place of Mayhem
Nice to see an old Binder catching some love. I learned to drive in my Dad's Scout Traveller (1977 I think). Great shop and nice work being done.
Just a consideration for having a clean out inside the garage. The dump stations at the parks always smell while you are using them. You may want to make provisions to ventilate the odours when you dump.
SkiDoo! Where do you ride? I hit the New Liskeard area whenever I can.
I currently have an MXZ in pieces with a track swap half completed and a GSX waiting for the same treatment.
I have a plow on my ATV, but I have a long driveway and we don't tend to get large accumulations at any one time. My family and friends from further North all use snowblowers without any problems. Maybe a newer model might prove more reliable and work better for you? A lawntractor would be...
Get some pictures with the model (for the customer) and some without (for you). If you are using the shots for advertising, I would suggest that the pin up calendar days have past and your product shoud stand for itself.
