So for a trench drain at the door, where does the water go? Just evaporates over time? How deep do you make it? Problems will smell?

Garage will be just mainly daily driver in/out. My main concern is with water buildup from rain/snow. I'd rather do some extra work now than have to pull in the driveway, get out in the snow, brush off the car as much as I can, get back in, dirty my car, then pull into the garage. Kind of...

I noticed that a lot of people use XPS rigid foam boards under the slab, and that most recommend using boards with higher PSI than 25 so the slab and cars do not crack it underneath. Thanks. Most of these seem to have just aluminum on both sides and no polyethylene foam like the low-e one does. Would just plain aluminum work between two solid surfaces? It wouldn't just transfer between the two? Most of these seem to be installed in attics.

Where to get it seems to be a mystery. I have contacted the "distributors" listed on their page and so far no one even knows what I'm talking about. Have any links for a Home Depot alternative?
