Fair price for backyard buddy lift

An acquaintance of mine is selling his 4 post backyard buddy lift and, since I'm in need of a 4-post lift, I'm interested in it. The lift was purchased January 2017, and is a lightly-used 7000lb, 110V model and includes two drip pans. The original invoice was $5295, which I believe included...

Bearing replacement Ammco safe arc 8000

Prior to buying the NOS belts I made a belt. I recycled the plastic mounts from the old worn out belt and cut a strip from a generic belt having similar size and grit as the original. I made holes in the new belt to correspond to the plastic mount and attached the plastic mount to each end of...

Bearing replacement Ammco safe arc 8000

I know it's only been 2 years - but my memory on this is foggy. I think I tapped it out from the bottom to get to the point in the picture. My grinder is mounted to a cart so I can't easily look underneath it now. I suspect I couldn't find a bearing because if I could I likely would have...

Bearing replacement Ammco safe arc 8000

I don't remember actually buying a bearing, which leads me to believe that I just lubed up the bearing best I could and put it back together. As far as belts, NOS ones pop up on ebay. I paid $25 per belt about a year ago -bought 2 which should be more than enough for my use.

What is this - Hunter G111 light bulb

You know what - I believe you are right. Looking closer I see the light is integrated in the level. :o Thanks for your help!

What is this - Hunter G111 light bulb

The light bulb that illuminates the level in one of my Hunter optical heads is out (late '80s-early '90s vintage Hunter G111) so I decided to replace it. Upon disassembly I found the bulb mounted on a separate board, the bulb having three electrodes and a clear liquid that does not reach to the...

Bearing replacement Ammco safe arc 8000

Thanks. What Ammco site are you referring to? I checked the "official" Ammco web site and didn't see any parts information.

Bearing replacement Ammco safe arc 8000

I picked up an Ammco safe arc 8000 in decent shape, but the upper bearing is bad. I started disassembling it, but it's not clear to me how the spindle assembly is removed from the support base. Right now the spindle is half-way out with the top bearing outside the support and the bottom...

4 post lift - ramp alternatives

I know this is an old thread but thought I'd share my solution and this seems to be the most appropriate place. I made two locks that fit over the end of the ramp and the runway. For each lock I cut up some 4" wide by 1/4" thick plate (its what I had laying around) into 3 pieces, one 4" piece...

    Sun MDT vs. 680

So I stumbled across two Sun distributor testers that are right around the corner from me. One is a Sun MDT and the other is a Sun 680. Both have been restored and are in full working condition. I'd like to pick one of these up not only for garage art, but also to use one some of my older...

Cost to remove and replace concrete

I thought about a 4-post, but decided to go with a 2-post for ease of access for certain components. Lift is sitting in my garage so no going back now.

Cost to remove and replace concrete

Thanks for the replies. Quote included pinning new slab to remaining concrete and wire mesh reinforcement.
