REED R Series. Post your Reed date stamps.

I have a 203 I believe it may be stamped 962. I thought the “R” series were after the non”R” series. Is that correct? The stamped Reed information is horizontal while my 1942 Reed 405SJ is stamped vertical. Does the direction of the stamped information track at all with years? Thanks

I have considered it but I think those are designed for water and just don’t know they will hold up

    Parts washer heater

I am thinking of buying one of the HF or TSC parts washers. I will be using some form of water based solvent. My question is: Has anyone added a heater to one of these? I normally soak my item a few days and I feel a warmer fluid would work better. If you have can I get the make and model of...

    Preventing rust on Drill Press

I use fluid film. It is easier to apply than paste wax. I found paste wax at an estimate sale. Saving it to pay for kids college 😂

Show your MAC Chest and Rollaway Combinations (MB510 and MB520)

Just picked this one up. I was told it is a MB520A but don’t see any numbers on it. It needs the handles for the ends. I assume that is what the 2 threaded holes in each end were for.

    Reed 405

I have a Reed 405 and I am trying to determine the approximate age. Does anyone know the year range they made the 405? Not the 405R. Thanks a lot

    KR1000

I am looking at a 1986 KR1000 and I am trying to determine if all KR1000 boxes had bearing slides. I have asked the guy but he is lost on other projects and won’t make time to go confirm if he would even know. Just wondering before I make an offer

    Craftsman Toolbox Thread

Any input on the quality of these boxes? I know Craftsman sold a lot types of boxes. These say super duty but I don’t know if they are friction slides, BB slides, or even an age. Your feedback is appreciated

    Craftsman drill press

Thanks I was thinking 30s Atlas made as well. I can grab it up fairly cheap but that return spring is missing and I wanted to be sure something was available. There is a feed handle but it is just the old style 2 hand spot deals not a 3 one

    Morgan 80 vise

I believe they still do make them. I don’t think $600 for one without a swivel base is a bad deal if the prices I found were correct
