I believe it may be stamped 962. I thought the “R” series were after the non”R” series. Is that correct? The stamped Reed information is horizontal while my 1942 Reed 405SJ is stamped vertical. Does the direction of the stamped information track at all with years?

Just picked this one up. I was told it is a MB520A but don’t see any numbers on it. It needs the handles for the ends. I assume that is what the 2 threaded holes in each end were for.
I am looking at a 1986 KR1000 and I am trying to determine if all KR1000 boxes had bearing slides. I have asked the guy but he is lost on other projects and won’t make time to go confirm if he would even know. Just wondering before I make an offer
Any input on the quality of these boxes? I know Craftsman sold a lot types of boxes. These say super duty but I don’t know if they are friction slides, BB slides, or even an age.

I was thinking 30s Atlas made as well. I can grab it up fairly cheap but that return spring is missing and I wanted to be sure something was available. There is a feed handle but it is just the old style 2 hand spot deals not a 3 one
