We are somewhat neighbors we are out near Roy. Not sure if City of Tacoma is much different than Pierce County for permitting but I know some folks are waiting 10 + months.

Apparently, my post was a little misleading. His Bday was yesterday and he mention he wanted his own tools. He will be in his second year automotive program through his high school (Senior year). When saying he wants his own tools that is because he was given a tool cart that he wants to fill...

Here in the Pacific Northwest prices are off the chart. My GC has been building for 39 years and normally sees an increase or decrease every 90 days. In the last 45 days he has had 4 increases. Trusses had doubled in the past 6 months.... This has of course put my project on HOLD.

Well....This isn't the reply I wanted to write but the garage build is on hold until further notice :mad::mad::mad::mad: We received back all bids and the garage is coming back WAY over budget I will not build with these lumber prices. Time to find a hole where I can stash my current garage...

Hey, we aren't far from each other I'm in Roy. We are about in the same position as you are with the county..... Here in Pierce County since I'm on a well and septic the county health department wants their cut as well. We have a $405 well fee and a $225 septic fee for them to do NOTHING plus...

Not much new to report. We should get approval from the county's health department regarding the site plan and our setbacks from the septic and drain field hoping for this week. As soon as we get that approved then we will move on to the building permits. As we wait for the building permits...

Our plans are posted at the beginning of this thread. Nothing really has changed much with the plans that were posted. The Engineer just stamped off the plans this week. My GC and I should receive our set of official plans this coming week. After we get the plans we will distribute them...

Plans are DONE and off to get stamped by the engineer. Designer was working on the Site Plan to submit to the county. Builder and I had to find my property markers to get some better measurements for designer. Should have a Site Plan done and submitted to County by the end of the year. Then...

As usual all good ideas and noted for electrical needs when we get to that point.
