I think it has to do with the government mandating a higher seer rating.

    Mini-split question

My fan runs all the time also. I think that is the way it is designed to keep the air moving and monitor the temp. I noticed when on auto the fan will vary in speed depending on how much difference in the set point and room temp.

    Mini-split question

Hey Pawl, Any chance you can upload a photo of what you did with the line set? Also--These units have a minimum line set length. Its possible that the 10ft length would not have been so great for your compressor. What did you use to bend the copper? I think 10 foot would be fine. They...

    Mini-split question

I just finished installing a Pioneer 22k today. Took about 4 days to get it delivered. I was impressed with the looks of it. And it cooled down my 20 x 40 x12 space in a hurry. Installation was easy except my Lineset was too long. I should have downgraded to the 10 ft and saved $25. I didn't...

    Mini-Split mounting location

Thanks for the replies. I wonder if I could power up just the blower motor before I permanently mount it. Here are some pics of the area I am dealing with.

I talked with a hvac guy today and he said center of 40 ft wall also. So I guess I will go with that. Forgot to ask him about mounting height for 12 ft ceiling.

    Mini-Split mounting location

I have a 800 sq ft wood shop that I am installing a mini split in. The room is 20 x 40 and one of the 20 ft walls is facing west. So I am wondering, do I hang the interior unit on the opposing 20 ft wall and try to blow across the 40 ft, or should I put it in the center of the 40 ft wall ...

    8" or 10" anchor bolts?

I bought my anchor bolts from the concrete plant. They were a lot cheaper than lowes or H.D.

    Pole Barn Help

What side of nashville are you on? Pole barn builders are covered up right now. There is a cost share program for cattle producers going on. Try Somertown Metals or Lexington Metals . They do a lot of pole barns and have some good crews.

China Freight takes over another US city

You know Harbor Freight is a american owned and founded corporation. So I would think these tool names are chosen by Americans.

    Enamel or Lacquer

Did the paint come from a body shop? If it did it is probably a base coat and will need clear to shine. And if so is probably a urethane paint.

    Enamel or Lacquer

Lacquer thinner is hotter than reducer. It is what most all painter use to clean out the paint gun after spraying enamel. Enamel cut with lacquer thinner will flash faster and not shine as good as it would if reducer was used.

    Floor mount tugger point

I once put some anchor pots in a floor for a frame puller. You can buy a wedge type but you will have to have a core drill to frill the 4" holes. They have a t slot for a chain and work well. What I did was build a grid of steel rod to embed in the concrete. I had short lengths of grade 70...
