    I added a box extender to a two gang bell box. The gasket sticks into the box on the left and right side. So, the outlets (and maybe the wires) are touching the gasket. Is this normal? I followed the directions exactly.

    Thank you, I'm trying to figure out what will look best (and I've got some extra receptacles and boxes to use). I did read that some people separate the switch and receptacles into different boxes, but not sure that's a big concern.
