Pretty sure it is the same thing as a bunch of danaher rats, Allen, kd, Napa, and closely related to Armstrong n Craftsman as well. I have one and it's just okay, nothing to write home about. It's USA at least.

I found some kmart stuff in my dad's tools. I'm pretty sure he had the complete 3/8 drive set but all I have now is a ratchet and extension. Japan made, stamped "Kmart auto"... They are indeed pretty nice quality considering what they are.

Funny you mention tekton, they do, and I have what amounts to it (actually a kobalt rebrand of it, exact same tool), and it's what I want this to replace!! It's an older one but it doesn't work for me...not a fan of floppy head, or the backwards selector lever, and would greatly prefer us-made.

I want something like a Snapon frlf80, i.e. a flex, pear head, QR, 3/8 ratchet, USA made. Must be all of those things. I have no issue with the snappy, but is there any other option I should consider, that I missed? None of the other usa makers seem to check all of the boxes, just plenty of...

I have the presta cycle thing n I love it, mostly because of the ability to turn it into a t-handle. It's designed as a bike tool and that's a very handy feature in that application. I haven't seen another bit ratchet that does that, so I'm a fan. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
