Eames Atlas No. 2 arbor press help

I picked up an Eames/Atlas (both names visible) press, so pre-1919, a while back, and I need to make a few parts. It works fine as a single leverage ratcheting press now, but I would like to return it to its compound ability. I bought it from a 5th generation architectural company that works...

Eames Atlas No. 2 mandrel press

I've been looking for a good American arbor press, and sort of stumbled onto this one while looking at another tool. I already have a post on OWWM, but seeing's as how their are so many brand specific enthusiasts here, it can't hurt to ask over here too. It is an Atlas no. 2 with Eames cast on...

    New (to me) power hacksaw

I'm in San Antonio, so not much in the way of cold winds. Next summer will probably be restore time. It's a pretty simple machine, so a good one to do with the kids.

    New (to me) power hacksaw

I found this on CL for $40 and picked it up for $30. It needed a new belt, and the feed block wasn't catching the riser plates properly. The feed block assists in feeding the blade down as well as lifting the blade on the forward stroke. I had a belt, and after turning the feed block over I have...

Trying to identify another floor jack

Well I'm still searching for a good, old American floor jack, so as is often the case I've found another with no identifying marks. I believe this unmarked jack is a Hein Werner, but I'm not sure. The owner doesn't know either, but he does believes it is a 2 1/2 ton. Do the pics confirm this...

Any idea of what this floor jack is?

Thanks Hiball. At least I don't have to drive the two hours to see it.

Any idea of what this floor jack is?

This is on CL, and I'm looking for a decent 4 ton+ jack. I would like old, american made, but haven't had much luck. If I don't find one soon I'm going to have to settle for a horrible freight model until I come across better. The owner of this one has no idea what it's specs are or the...

    2014 Garage sale thread!

I picked this up this morning for $40 + tax at a pawn shop while looking for a floor jack. It took 58 seconds to run down. Their isn't a date marked on either side of the bottom plate. Is their any other place to look?

The ratchet isn't modified. One of the screwdrivers is sitting on top of it though in the previous pic. All three screwdrivers are also marked not guar., by the way.

    2014 Garage sale thread!

My wife and I went to an estate sale over the weekend, and we grabbed a few things. I haven't been able to make it to any in a while, so I may have gone overboard. At least she spent some money too. I don't think I deserve any "you *****", as the overall total was a bit high, but at least I'm...

    Craigslist floor jack questions

The price is/was $200 which I figured was way high with a low probability of finding parts. I finally got to a point where I could call the seller, and it looks like the number has been disconnected or placed in the ad incorrectly. No response to email yet. Thanks Steven. I'll keep looking. It...

    Craigslist floor jack questions

The ad reads: condition: good 4 ton floor jack. Needs small gear. I haven't gotten hold of the seller yet, so I was wondering if anyone can identify this jack. I'll pm Hiball of course, but anyone else's input would be great too. If we can get it identified, are parts available, such as...

    2014 Garage sale thread!

I had to do a search myself. I think it's a cold saw. I certainly wouldn't mind having one. I haven't heard of the manufacturer, but he is in Greece.

And I have no idea what this is supposed to do or work. Anyone else? I believe you turn the knob to adjust to the nut you want to drive. Is it Craftsman? I might take it if you don't want it.

    2014 Garage sale thread!

I thought it might be older, but you know how they liked their logo crossover. I have 2 or 3 other period correct Craftsman motors, so I wouldn't really need to trade to get the right one for the drill. Besides I, as I believe you do, really like the long C. I think the motor is all I have...
