They work like a big fixed jet carb, there is a takeoff the main flow to fill the bowl, then this is fed back into the water stream with a restriction and venturi effect.

Soft water will give less water marks when dry especially on paint. plus any heating elements that might be used (heater, kettle etc) will last longer

IIRC draper is the parent company of Elora and use them for the top end stuff (kinda like VW and bugatti i think) Ive got some of the 3/4" stuff and its just ****** bullet proof!!

by the way I fitted the "cut" end of the bush into the crank first in case I had missed any burs as I did not want to increase wear
