    XtremeSet-100 fumes

I've been using XtremeSet-100 to fill some extensive cracking in basement shop floor. The space is entirely concrete (floor, wall, ceiling). The product has worked well, but the smell/fumes have persisted for months. I'm doing some grinding of the filled areas to prepare for a coating. My...

Builder built garage too short. What penalty?

NOT LEGAL ADVICE JUST WARM WIND FROM A KOOK ON THE INTERNET This isn’t a question of liability. Liability is clear on the GC and applicable sub. This is a question of damages and more specifically the proper measure of damages. It sounds like a diminution in value case. Meaning the damages...

Correct product for filing large cracks/voids

I have a suspended slab garage floor and underneath is a 24x24 basement. The floor of this basement area was built with some really sloppy concrete work and prep, which resulted in larger than average shrinkage cracks and a little settling. I've kept an eye on these cracks for six years and...

    Concrete Advice for Basement Garage

The crack borders the entire slab about 12" from the wall. The crack is actually quite minor and typical for basement slab except for one 10' section. I've taken a photo of it at its worst. The spackle patch hasn't cracked in 2 years.

This I don't know. Makes sense. This is good to know, my only concern is 1" of dense foam + 4" concrete = 5" of lost ceiling height. What about this?

    Ceramic tile floor

I'd go at least 1/8 on grout--easier to grout and compensate for floor, wall and tile irregularities.

starting my 'wood' porcelain tile project! advice needed please.

Buy a tile saw and good knee pads. No special tools. I would use std thin set mix. You could throw in some latex additive for improved bonding properties. Sanded grout w/ dark color and sealed well afterward. Back butter the tile (check out YouTube for instruction) Get a heavy duty Shutler...

I saw a floor done that way in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility/commercial laundry. Sadly it was destroyed by arson. :) Looked great as does yours.

They're crazy for excluding the 911. Dickies coveralls are great--wish hey had the sleeves articulated for OH work though. I've been thinking about cutting the seams on the underarms.
