Make sure that after the building is completely erected someone goes back through and re-tightens every bolt. You'd be surprised at how many will loosen just from the jostling around of the building process. Marring the threads would be something to consider also. Check with the engineer on that...

IMO That is absolutely a deal breaker. The snowball effect that is having is evident by looking at the floor above it. It's sagging, and when it all get's fixed you'll also be dealing with windows, drywall, etc.

If it really bothers you, you could always cut the angles at the tops of the joists and the kickers free, **** it all in and reweld them all to give you 20". Then go back and trim the roofing accordingly.
What I would do is take the Edelbrock cleaner and cut out the part that says "Edelbrock" then get another M/T valve cover, cut that out and then graft the two together. You'll have to find a welder that knows their stuff though.
