Pratt Read drivers at Menards - almost gone!

If you're itching to get some of the US ones, let me know and I'll see what's available at the 2 stores near me. I bought an SAE and Metric nut driver set when I noticed the transition happening but debated on returning them. This thread has convinced me not to return them to the store but I may...

    2020 Home Depot Clearance Thread

The Klein stripper & 11-in-1 combo. It was listed as $15.00 marked down from $19.97 (I think). At checkout it rang up for $10.04 though so it was an even better deal than expected! HD link...

Update - Gearwrench 3/8 socket set $86, comes with FREE 1/4" socket set 120xp

Re: Update - Gearwrench 3/8 socket set $86, comes with FREE 1/4" socket set 120xp It looks like the 1/4" set skips 5/32. I was comparing this set to a case I already own and the shallow 5/32", 1/4" dr. 6-pt socket isn't included in this set. A member here compared these sets with a full/master...

    Ordering from Woot

Pretty par for the course with Woot!. Also, they've got some Armstrong stuff for cheap at the moment if you're interested... But yeah, shipping usually takes quite a while from woot most of the time. I've gotten stuff very quickly but others have taken 2+ weeks. Their customer service is...

    My latest trip to Sears

Amen man. Those personality tests are TERRIBLE! BUT, once the results are in the computer, you are out of luck. Took one of those to drive commercially (bus) and because I was HONEST on the 'test' I wasn't a "good fit."...It makes no sense and it keeps the qualifed workers out and the cheats...

    KNIPEX Cobolt Cutters - Amazon.com $34

Second @mojo3120 And yep, price is back to $39.99. I've been eyeing these for a year or so but haven't needed them for anything in particular and just can't pull the trigger! If I hadn't missed it at the lower price though...*grumble*

    Is this garage salvageable?

That mirror totally threw me for a loop. Sat here trying to figure out how you had a center wall in a garage that size. No comment about feasibility though. Doesn't look like something I would tackle for sure.

Klein Tools - Disgusting Sign of the Times

Around where I'm at, they've had Klein hole-saws and the like locked/caged up for the past 8+ years (only really been looking at tools on my own that long) but, locking up the hand tools must be a sad, sad sight. Even if I can get them a bit cheaper online, I'll usually buy them in-store because...

Funny Craigslist Ad - Power Mallet

Reminds me of that old show "Battle Bots". regardless, it looks like one very powerful tool...to be treated with respect *shutter* To wit: "Don't Breath this!"

What's this called in English (nails)?

Yes, drilling them out is usually how it's done. Make a mark in the center (usually with a centerpunch), then drill through it. Some people sheer off one side of them though, but that scratches the item your working on. And as others said, rivets.

    Mounting a post-puller on a truck

Will do, hopefully it gets done this season...may be a summer project though. Last thing I want is a rush job and someone to get hurt.

    Mounting a post-puller on a truck

Sweet, Thanks! Big 'ol pin in the way sounds good! And nope, don't have access to a welder, really wish I did though. Thanks for the thoughts! Hopefully it all works out. I do fear it'll be more of a pain getting it all lined up than it's worth. Really, lugging a 20 pound puller shouldn't be...

    Mounting a post-puller on a truck

Hmm...That would make things a lot easier, Thanks!. Would pulling a post be too much to use u-bolts to affix the post puller to it? I would *think* there would be enough force and friction that 2 or more u-bolts would keep it in-place. If anything, it would push it down so it wouldn't do damage...

    Mounting a post-puller on a truck

How would you go about it, or, is it even worth it? Every year I drive 30+ posts into the field (corn or beans depending) around my home that surrounds my driveway for snow fence. (1/4 mile driveway I own, farmers field on both sides and surrounding my house...basically a 3-acre island in a...
