Ghostshield 8510 Single Flood Coat Details

I have a paver driveway that needs sealing, I've used 8505 on other paver projects and would like the improved performance of the 8510. Do you know if the recommend densifier on the already more dense concrete pavers ? Any reason not to go with 8510 on concrete pavers? When you say " apply...

Cost per sq foot for this type of garage?

Building costs are driven a lot by local local labor rates of course, so you might base it on what house prices per sq ft are in that area - you are showing a garage finished inside and out with residential materials - so it will cost about the same as any other conditioned interior space to...

Trying to not kill a tree

Pines don't have deep roots, why don't you just dig them up with the bobcat and move them. 5-6 in pines shouldn't be very big or heavy yet, stake straight until they re-establish.

Anybody ever seen this? Sides of garage heave slot at edges?

That's interesting, around here they would just run the floor at an angle along the block above the floor that the plates sit on. I guess we have figured out his mason was an ex-Arkansas man

    Framing around a skylight

I'm not sure I follow what you are trying to do as far as the final walls and ceilings - are you going to be on the floor you are showing? Trying to wall off the staiway? Anyway, the best way to use metal framing is to build each of your walls as complete planes, then join them together as...

Anybody ever seen this? Sides of garage heave slot at edges?

But then the mason might not have been from LA. Or perhaps the previous owner wanted to be able to wash the garage out easily? Looks like they wanted to slope the floor to the door but keep the edges level.

Where frost protected shallow foundation meets driveway

You definately want to rent a compactor for any fill going under your approaches, foam or no foam. Since concrete/bricks are an excellent conductor if heat, that is the last place I would leave out the foam. Hate to have the entrance heaved right under your door.

A free program you can use to size beams is called " beamboy" it has the specs for most sections and if you have the basic understanding of physics you can use it to find deflection, stress, etc.

    PSA about treated post'

The real takeaway imo on pressure treated lumber is that a large part of the business is straight up fraud. It relies on the true premise that contractors, homeowners and lumber yards don't read or understand the specs on what is being sold. The folks on here are a cut above because they...

    Gable end lean to

how are you planning to flash the new to the old? You will need to cut and or remove the siding at the header area to flash under your current siding, so it makes the most sense to remove it, add your header and frame from there. Just as you would do if new construction.

    Pex brand interchangeable??

Menards carries type A (expansion) pex and fittings. So not just plumbing suppliers. Yes, everything interchanges except type A fittings require type A tubing since only type A tubing can be expanded for the larger diameter of type A fittings.
