Issue for me is that I would have to run the 30A 240v circuit to install one of these. Given the cost of gas vs electricity, seems for my purposes to be a better option to go ahead and run the gas line and go with one of the Hot dawg style heaters in the 30-45k BTU range.

You can do it yourself for a fraction of the cost (and with better materials than some local options) it you take your time with proper preparation and some patience. Your space sounds like a very doable sized DIY project (my garage was 22x20) and if the slab is in great condition, that's 90%...

You'll probably want to try to scrape up what you can with a scraper, but it won't matter much if you're going to roughen everything up with a diamand grinder. Remember, you want it to be rough, not smooth.

Where do you live and what will you use it for? Hot tire pick-up or any prolonged exposure to salt in a northern winter will instantly kill that rustoleum stuff.
