I had a radiant tube heater installed and it got me thinking about how many cycles per hour I should set the thermostat too. I am looking for the most economic way to run the unit. I don’t really mind if the temperature is up and down a bit. Any thoughts?

That old Onan JC can easily be convert to natural gas. Throw in a pertronax electric ignition and it will run forever in a residential situation. There kind of noisy but there tough. Not sure if you plan on hooking it up to an automatic transfer switch but these require a three wire start...
