    NJ attic insulation

    I am looking to do this myself next weekend. I am curious about prep; I assume I should stay away from recessed lighting and anything else that generates heat? All the videos online just show guys spraying this stuff knee deep. Doesn't seem right.

    Sharing Laundry in the Garage

    My wife has million reason not to dry 'good clothes' i.e. anything not a t-shirt, underwear or other basics. It's about a 50/50 split of what gets hung or dried. Part of the reason for me wanting something that folds/raises/moves out of the way is to help prevent the garage from becoming a long...

    Sharing Laundry in the Garage

    I wish I could. The layout of this house simply will not allow for it. And that is a cause for concern. The first time clean clothes (left in the garage) end up smelling like oil or gas from the motorcycles, or get covered in saw dust, I will definitely hear about it.

    Gearhead. The one you posted (from Ikea) folds down and flat?

    Sharing Laundry in the Garage

    That is almost exactly what I am thinking but instead of bottom hinged from the wall, hanging from the ceiling and lower - sort of like an attic ladder but with no fixed pivot. I want the whole thing to lower down. She hangs a ton of clothes to dry and I am scratching my head, thinking what I...

    Sharing Laundry in the Garage

    My new place has the washer and dryer in the garage and I am trying to think of trick ideas to keep the wife happy. I am adding cabinets for storage and a table top for folding, but I'm stuck on ideas for hanging clothes. One idea is basically a ladder over washer/dryer, connected to the...

    Garage Overhaul Using Rust Bullet for the Floor

    Interesting use of Rust Bullet. I had no idea it could be used on floors. We use it to coat the mild steel frames of our custom tourist buses that are used in Hawaii. Two coats of RB and you can forget about frame rust, the stuff is amazing. Sweet looking garage.

    Screw Type Adjustable Jack Stands?

    Looking for help locating a good quality screw type height adjustable jack stand. I have seen the Camco aluminum versions for sale, and that is the function I need, just in a more durable version. Something that will safely hold a car. Has anyone seen something like this? Thanks

    Home with 18 car garage++

    That house is in Mission Viejo California. My sister in-law lives in the area and had commented on the house as it was posted in the local paper. I'm trying to find it via Gmaps, but haven't yet had any luck.

    Hiding the ugly furnace and water heater?

    Mine are in a cubby of sorts so I only had to build a cover for the front to conceal them. I built a cheap wood frame and covered it in the material used for window screens. You can buy a role of it for cheap at Lowes or Home Depot. I just stapled the material to the inside of the frame. To...
